Since his debut LP in 2003, Oxnard, Ca, rapper Down aka Kilo has been on the spearhead of the Latin Hip-Hop movement, making his mark in both the English and Spanish speaking market. On his first two albums, "California Cowboys" and "Definition Of An Ese", Down collaborated with the likes of Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, Cypress Hill, Butch Cassidy, Bad Azz, Daz Dillinger, MC Eiht, MC Ren, Suga Free, Tha Eastsidaz, Kokane, just to name a few. His 2007 single "Lean Like A Cholo" sold over half a million ringtones and the album went on to sell 70,000 records.


With his new album, "Cholo Skate", Down aka Kilo is once again teaming up with super producer Fingazz, known for his futuristic, yet old school funk sound. Additional production was provided by Konvict signee Detail. Down once again enlists an all-star cast of guests for the album: Snoop Dogg, Too Short, DJ Quik, Bo-Roc, and even the late great 2Pac appear on "Cholo Skate".

The new single, "Put Your Locs On" features Jah Free and was produced by Fingazz. It's dropping digitally on August 4th and a video to "Put Your Locs On" coming soon.

"Cholo Skate" the album drops September 1st.
