dubcnn.com: How you doin' Brooke, to start it off, just introduce yourself to everybody!

Alright, what's up everybody? I'm Brooke Valentine, if you don't know who I am I got the single "Girlfight" featuring Lil Jon & Big Boi.

dubcnn.com: So how did you hook up with Lil Jon and Big Boi in the first place?

Well I met Lil Jon in Miami, I went to his house for a party, and we got Girlfight outta that party. We were just chillin at the party, at his house, and he was like "Let's work!" so he got on the keyboard, did the beat in like 10 to 15 minutes, and we wrote the song and went back to partying! Shortly after we did that, Lil Jon jumped on it and shit, and Big Boi heard, Big Boi loved the song. He said he really loved the song he listened to it over and over and over again. And he jumped on it, he blessed the track! So that was hot, we been hookin' up, we been hanging out, we doin' BET and TRL today, we just kicking it and having fun!

dubcnn.com: Alright, how old are you?

I'm 19, still young.

dubcnn.com: Who are you influences?

Ah they go from one extreme to the other.. Let's see, Sade, Anita Baker, Tina Turner, Al Green, different type of artists, I like to listen to all types of different artists, but those were the main ones growing up.

dubcnn.com: Do you feel that the single Girlfight, represents you as a person?

In one way. Girlfight is one chapter of my life, one thing that I had to go through, so it does represent me in a way. It doesn't represent me in everyway like all I do, all I'm about is girlfight. That's one of the chapters in my life that I had to discuss.

dubcnn.com: How would you describe yourself as an artist, what type of artist are you?

I'm a real artist, I'm a reality based artist, I keep it real, not a sugar coater, I tell it like it is, wether you ready for it or not I'ma give it to you. Whether I'm embarassing myself or not, I'm just being me. I'm good when I'm being myself, being me. I'm a fun artist, you know I'm young, still young, having fun, kicking it, doing my thing, and I just hope everybody is ready for the type of artist that I am! And I hope they go cop the album, it comes out today (March 15th), you'll find out what type of artist I am. You'll know when you listen to the record.

dubcnn.com: Do u have a problem with people liking you just for your looks instead of your skills?

I don't know, I never really thought about that, it's funny that you ask that, I've never thought about that. I think it's alotta genuine people who really heard the album or really like the single and aren't all about "Oh I like your skirt". I mean you know when the guys just macking on you or when they really like the song. But I don't really know the answer to that question, you can't jump to conclusions and be like "Oh this person is just staring at a picture" or isn't listening to the song. You don't really know. I just take every situation with an open heart, and do my best.

dubcnn.com: Who do you have producing on your record?

Of course Lil Jon produced on the record, Heatmakers, Daja The Great, Bink, Souldiggaz, and some more.

dubcnn.com: Do you have any guest appearances?

Along with Lil Jon and Big Boi, I got O.D.B, the late great Dirt McGirt, Jermaine Dupri along with some new artists that's coming out real soon.

dubcnn.com: Do you have more Crunk&B tracks on the album like the first single?

I do have some more, but it's not all Crunk&B. I got some surprises on there, it's not all the same things, I'm definitely taking different directions. Definitely kicking down some doors, pushing some envelopes on the album. Do expect some surprises.

dubcnn.com: The record is called "Chain Letter"?

Yep!

dubcnn.com: Are you working on a new album already?

Constantly working, always in the studio when I get a chance. Know that when I'm working on songs right now in mind it's all for my second album. But I am definitely working on something, who knows what might happen. Right now I'm working on some hot remixes, got some features coming up for you, so you know, you never know what might happen in the future! Got some more surprises in store!

dubcnn.com: Alright, that's about it for the questions, go head and promote the new record one last time!

Alright, this is your girl Brooke Valentine, with the single "Girlfight", featuring Lil Jon and Big Boi, my album comes out March 15th, Tuesday, it's entitled "Chain Letter", expect some surprises. If you want you a breath of fresh air, get the album, spread the word, spread the chain letter!
