Chris Johnson Interview
A Dubcnn Exclusive
By: Justin Melo & Jonathan Hay

Dubcnn: Tell us more about Flashy Lifestyle Entertainment.
It’s basically my record label that I came out with. I have four
solo artists; Pressure Dommer, Lil EZ, Stakkhouse, Ballie and one group on
the label. I’m looking forward to doing big things.
Dubcnn: Ok. Did you handpick these artists?
It’s more of a family situation. These are guys that I’ve known and things
like that that are pretty good at what they’re doing.
Dubcnn: Awesome. Do you know when any of these projects will come
out? In addition, do you have distribution already set up?
Our artist Pressure Dommer just dropped his mixtape a week or two ago. And
then we have Lil EZ coming out next month but before that, we’re releasing a
whole Flashy Lifestyle mixtape that’s gonna’ drop, and that’s with all of
our artists on there, and the name of that project is “Greenlight.”
Dubcnn: Ok, awesome. What inspired your “Act on Deck” song?
“Act on Deck”, really what lead to that song, all of my artists actually got
on that song. I was supposed to get on the song with them, but that day, I
didn’t feel like rapping or writing anything down. Later on, I put my own
verse on the song and titled it as my single.
Dubcnn: Nice. Are you gonna’ have a follow up track soon?
I’m positioning myself as the CEO of this thing, me and my partner Kenny
[Turner]. We’re Co-CEO’s. I’m kind of working on something, but I’m putting
it on the backburner because I really want my artists to record and have all
there stuff situated because they’re music is more important than mine
actually getting finished or anything. I’m really letting them work right
now.
Dubcnn: That’s awesome. Moreover, when the football season comes,
you have your partners who can handle the music and everything else.
The greatest thing about is that both me and the other CEO both play
football. When it’s time for the season, our artists pretty much know how to
run things and all that as far as recording. They set up there own shows
now, they record on there own and do all of that. It’s really not a thing
where we have to hold there hand and tell them to do this. They basically
know what to do.
Dubcnn: I have to say that you’re good friend, Mike Sims Walker
would probably look pretty good lining up on the other side with Kenny
Britt.
Yeah, very good, really good. I would love to have him.
Dubcnn: That is it Chris. Thanks so much for your time.
