Tristian: We’re here at J Lounge Downtown LA and it’s poppin’. We got Christian Rich, DJ Warrior, DJ Stone, it’s gonna be poppin’ tonight.

DJ Warrior: You know what it is man. World famous DJ Warrior, Cali Untouchables Soul Assassins. Bout’ to go on the tables and you’re gonna witness it live. Christian: What up it’s Christian Rich, shout out J Lounge, Blended, LA, Saturday night it’s crazy. DJ Warrior, Untouchables, kickin’ it, it’s crazy.

Dubcnn: What’s up everybody it’s Jose with Dubcnn I’m with Christian Rich, or at least one half of it, Christian. What’s up man. You just got done with a set here at the J Lounge DJing, tell us about that.

Christian: It was dope, DJ Warrior was showing love, Cali Untouchables, lotta fun, the crowd was pumped it was crazy. When I played the Black Eyed Peas it was crazy.

Dubcnn: For those who don’t know, tell us about what you guys do. I know you do the DJ stuff but you also do production.

Christian: Yeah Christian Rich DJ is just to have fun, get the crowd going. We’re known as Christian rich the producers, artists. We got a song “Famous Girl” right now which is in rotation on HBO, MTV and it got featured on E! TV and BET. We’re also doing production for NERD, Nipsey Hussle; a bunch of other people.

Dubcnn: How would you describe your sound to someone that hasn’t heard it? What are some tracks we might know right now?

Christian: When we first started as producers we produced “Get In Touch With Us” for Lil’ Kim “I’m Serious” for The Clipse, “Jumpin’” for Foxy. Our sound has evolved into more progressive music. It’s a mash-up of, let me tell you, they’re hit records. It’s a sound that’s not too far left, people get it. Something for the dance floor. It’s very melodic.

Dubcnn: How’d you guys get into producing, did you start off as DJs?

Christian: No, we started off as producers. Started off in Chicago, where we’re from, started off producing for locals. Our demos got out to bigger producers, which linked us up to bigger artists. We moved to New York, which linked us up with Lil’ Kim again. From there we moved to Atlanta, then decided maybe we should start writing our own music, going the artist direction and it’s working out.

Dubcnn: Are you guys doing some more artist stuff?

Christian: Definitely. Christian Rich the artist is what we’re mainly known for nowadays apart form the production. We’re working on our EP Famous Girl. Clinton Sparks executive produced it. It’s got some remixes by Peter Bjorn and John, Bjorn from that group, hooked up with him, got some remixes from Clinton and a bunch of other songs we’re giving to our fans. That should be available for free download really soon. For now we’re releasing hells bells famous girl t-shirts for the girls, just to commemorate that, and promote the EP.

Dubcnn: So what are some tracks you’ve done on that are about to come out on rotation, that people might hear you?

Christian: While we were out here in LA we worked with Nipsey Hussle. That’s one of the smartest kids I’ve met, very humble kid, and we’re working on something incredible with him. Made some music and I made a track that matches what he’s trying to do. We’ll see where it goes but I think that’s probably gonna be the single. I was talking to Shay who’s our mentor, from the Neptunes, we’re working on something with them for their album. There’s a lot of other stuff that’s in the works, but I’m not gonna talk about it. But those are the two main things.

Dubcnn: Well I know the people at Dubcnn are gonna be excited to hear about the Nipsey Hussle thing. Is there anything else you wanna add?
