Dubcnn: What's a typical day for Dem Franchise Boys?

30 interviews, people with they street team promotions or music videos shows or in-store autograph signings, catching 2-3 flights, 3-4 radio interviews, couple of phoners like now, just basically having fun with what we do but mostly working, typical day of Dem Franchise Boys!

Dubcnn: How did you get signed, what was the process with that?

We were very, very hot in Atlanta, where we from, we had a single called White-T, we got out records in the street by releasing our music everwhere and we caught a buzz and people started calling radios for our music but they didnt know who we were, tryin ta find us, they had a cat that was in the streets that knew us and the cat brought us to the station and its history, the song got in radio stands and labels started contacting us and it was a wrap from there.

Dubcnn: How long have you been a group?

We been a group 3 years

Dubcnn: How long have you been rapping?

My brothers. AJ been rapping 3 years but myself since i was a little kid

Dubcnn: Who has influenced you as artists?

LL Cool J, Jermaine Dupri, Jim Jones, Camron, Jay-Z, Nas, DMX, people of that nature, Triple Six Mafia, MJG & 8Ball

Dubcnn: How did you hook up with JD?

From my first record deal and our song White-T, he, JD jumped on our song and made is own remix, you know how he do remix, and he made his own remix and he put it on his So-So-Def mix CD and it caught a buzz and it messed around andgot on the radio, and when it got on the radio and caught a major buzz and we officially met him when we were on the same showcase in Dallas Texas and that was the first time we met him and we performed the White-T remix he made, the crowd response was so incredilbe he was like "man you see the way they respond?", so we did the song like three times and he was like "man i gotta do something official with ya'll, if i cant sign you i gotta do something offical." So we had another song called "Oh I Think They Like me" and JD was like glued to the song, like stuck on him, and that was the song he chose and at the same time as he chose that was the remix song we was gonna officially do it turned to a contract cause we were going through a release stage with our other label so as we did the remix and the video it turned to a contract and its history.

Dubcnn: How do you feel about being at the forefront of the "Snap" music craze?

It feel real good man, we the creators of something that everyone in the world is going crazy for and we created that and you got other artists trying to get on that sound and that style and when you hear that and see that then it always makes you think of us so it feels good!

Dubcnn: How did it feel when you overcame the "One Hit Wonder" stamp?

Well, we was always laughing at that, cause we like these people are crazy cause we got a gang of hits that we done had, we got new hits that we done had but we just didnt release them cause we didnt have the proper machine behind us, now that we got the machine, and they see "oh they not one hit wonders" - so now were releasing, you'll get them all, stay tuned!

Dubcnn: Were you surprised about how long it took for your CD to take off? It blew up!

The last record was hot but the promotion was real weak, but this album just released, its crazy that its gonna do numbers...

Dubcnn: So it was all about the Promotion really for the first album?

Yea its the machine behind you, its defintely about the product but its about the machine you got throwing it out there

Dubcnn: How are you different from other artists out of Atlanta?

Were different from other artists because we do what they wont. We'll get out there and slide with the people and dance, party and have a good time as we perform and really just do this and if you have ever been to the clubs in Atlanta you see that we party and thats what people like but other artists are like on some too cool, too gangsta type thing where they wont dance they just stand there looking "cool" but we'll get down with you baby; and thats whats different.

Dubcnn: Do you feel the "Snap Music" craze will take off over hip-hop like Crunk or stay regional?

Oh man, its gonna take over everywhere man, its already climbing in a major way, you should see what type of people we got doing it, see the age of people that are doing it and see the incredible response everywhere in the world to the sound, the song and the whole movement.

Dubcnn: Has your lifestyle changed much since you got a Record Deal?

Umm, this is my second deal my life has changed just as far as i can say, i got a little more money, you get people saying "its still me, its still me!"

Dubcnn: What other artists are you listening to right now?

Jim Jones!

Dubcnn: Any others at the moment?

I'm just listening to his latest album "Diary of Harlem"

Dubcnn: Which artists would you like to work with in the future?

Nas, Jay-Z, yea!

Dubcnn: Whats next, what are the career goals?

Well we already got our own record company so one of my major goals is to get that off the ground and make this a household name as well as these other major labels that you hear.

Dubcnn: Any last words for the fans?

Yea, yea, yea! We love ya'll and the album is out now "On Top Of Our Game" - Thats what you need thats what you want! I want that all in there! Thats what you need thats what you want!! Yea yea, Jizzal Man, DFB, So-So-Def!
