Huge thanks to Fx for taking time out to answer the questions fans wanted to know! (Interview was done by email in November of 2004)

Questions Asked By : Nima

..........................................................................................

dubcnn.com: What's up, how did you come up with your name, and what does it represent?

Fx has no literal meaning, it doesn't stand for anything, i don't remember how i got the name, Fx is so far fetched from my real name, i guess it just stuck to me, so ill go with it.

dubcnn.com: Everybody and their momma raps nowadays... What do you feel that you bring
to the table that makes you worth listening to?

Originality Makes a rapper, and makes me. i try to be versatile with everything i do, i never limit anything, i like to storey tell, everyone can relate to my music in one way or another. so download the free mixtape and judge for yourself http://rotproductions.com

dubcnn.com: You have a mixtape out called "Where It All Starts". Tell us about it.

Where it all starts is a mixtape that i have just put out, its a literal meaning... basically its the 1st thing I have put out that i feel is really worth listing to. this is how it all starts. it tells you where im coming from, what's coming next, brakes down everything about me, it versatile, has Mainstream Joints, Underground Joints, Storey telling Joints, Joints for the Ladies.. i try to not limit myself to one way of rapping, you witch it up...you get the underground fans, you switch it up you get the ladies, you switch it up you get the mainstream heads.. so i do tracks for everyone, and with this said this FREE mixtape is for Everyone, and has something everyone will enjoy.

dubcnn.com: You have some pretty deep and introspective songs, what is your main purpose

Teach lessons, i try not to be so predictable with my music, i like to storey tell im my music, even if its not based on me, i like my music to be like a book, catch the readers attention in the first few seconds, drag them into a dream world, tell the storey, and have the climax. for example the song "DAJA VIEW" is a story about foreshadowing... about a cat that knows what's going to happen. and from knowing that.. will he change what's going to happen.. and what will happen if he does change it?.. kind weird.. but i think its something new.
with your music, what are you trying to achieve?

dubcnn.com: Who were your main influences growing up and who are your current favorite
MC"s in the game?

Man, There are so many.. i have respect for every real rapper out there. I have listened to alot of Chino Xl, Xzibit, Eminem, N' Tech N9ne main influence that got me into rapping was a Florida rapper named BioKhemical i remember listening to him and alot eminems older work before i got into rapping.

dubcnn.com: Which producers/MC's would you most like to work with?

Chino Xl, and Xzibit would be the emcees i would most like to work with and hope to work with in the future. The Alchemist and Necro are producers i like. Im not really into the whole Mainstream sound i like that dark grimy type of production / i would rather rap the way i like opposed to having to switch it up to get it on the radio.

dubcnn.com: What else can we expect from you in near future? You put out "Where It All Starts"... now where does it continue?

Right now im doing my own thing, Everything 100% is done by me right now from production to engineering, to cover design, it lets me express myself, no engineer can really make my music to the way i hear it in my head, next move is "Days of our Lives" the album im putting out. That will have a mix of everything so there will mos def be joints on there that all types of cats will like. where it all starts is up on my site for a free download and im working on getting the site done as we speak. imma just keep rapping, producing, doing my thing, and hopefully everything works out!

dubcnn.com: What is the place where people can check on the newest happenings around
you? What's your website?

Right now im working on http://rotproductions.com thats more of my Production site / R.O.T Muisk. my offical site will be coming soon that will be www.FxMusiK.com but right now you can DOWNLOAD "WHERE IT ALL STARTS" From HTTP://ROTPRODUCTIONS.COM just scroll down right click save as and your good to go!

dubcnn.com: Do you have any last words, anything else you'd like to let people know?
