dubcnn.com: What's up Knoc, 6 months have passed since I last talked to you.. And your album is still not out! What happened?

I had to have it right... Elektra had to release some other things first and then I had to finish up my album, I got Scott Storch to do a song with him. But I have alotta shit on my album, Snoop Dogg, Westside Connection, Kanye West... But all that shit is blaze, blaze. I wanted to make sure I came right when I came, cause they hadn't heard from me in a while till I did "Lightz Out".

dubcnn.com: So can you give us the whole scoop on the record again? Who did the production?

I did some shit on there myself, I got Dr. Dre, DJ Quik, Warren G, Kanye West, Scott Storch who did my first single "The Way I Am" which is also the name of the album.

dubcnn.com: Are you gonna remix that first single too?

Yeah we gone do it like in the Bay, E-40 has a version, out here I got the Snoop Dogg version, I got a version wit WC, I got a version wit DJ Quik out here, also Young Gunz & The Clipse got a version in New York, Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz are doing a version in Atlanta.

dubcnn.com: Do you have any guest appearances on the album?

Dr. Dre, DJ Quik, Warren G, Nate Dogg, L.A. Confidential of course which is Yikes, Time Bomb from Chronic 2001 & Slip Capone from the Murder Was The Case soundtrack. Oh and Lil Mo is on my album too!

dubcnn.com: Right, right. And what can people expect when picking up your album?

Shit they can expect me! The Way I Am! How I feel! Everybody got a way that they are, and I'm sure there's more people who can relate to the way that I am, that feel the same way I do.

dubcnn.com: Are you happy with your deal over at Elektra Records?

Of course I am! They have been holding on on me for two years and I haven't release an LP! If that ain't believing in an artist I don't know what is. You know? They've had L.A. Confidential for 5 years! I'm just taking a little longer to create. Dr. Dre releases albums every 5 years! There's a reason for that. You gotta take your time man, I wrote over 900 songs in two years, just to recreate another album cause I got bootlegged badly, severly! You know what I mean? I really took my time and gave the fans an all new product.

dubcnn.com: How many of those 900 songs are we gonna hear?

Well I got some mixtapes comin' out right now, nationally and internationally.

dubcnn.com: Are you gonna be spitting over other beats on the mixtapes or over original beats?

Both! I'm gonna be rapping over some classics too, like Goin' back 2 Cali, Who Am I by Snoop Dogg, stuff like that. The mixtape is getting pressed up right now, it'll be out by the beginning of the year, but I'm planning on releasing another mixtape before then, AND I got a DVD coming out!

dubcnn.com: Oh yeah?

Yeah we had a release party and it's all on video. And I also got a show airing on Playboy TV, Buckwild! Playboytv.com, it's comin' out on January 9th.

dubcnn.com: Sounds good! Your new video to The Way I Am with Snoop just aired.. Who came up wit the concept of the video?

I come up wit the concept of all my videos. I sat down wit the director of the video and come up with something dope, something I wanna do, I don't listen to all of his ideas, I want him to listen to me! And to represent me. Wether it wins of fails, it still represents me. I don't wanna lose because I'm doin' somebody else and I'm not doin' me.

dubcnn.com: I loved how the security guard knocked out that one girl...

"Security!!" *laughs*

dubcnn.com: You gotta see the Head Of State movie to understand it tho..

Yeah exactly that's where I got it from!!

dubcnn.com: So we can definitely expect your album to be in stores in February?

February 24th.

dubcnn.com: Do you think that'll stick?

It'll stick, I put everything on that. It's packaged right now! I got my hands on the package. I put so much time into this, and I know it's gonna happen.

dubcnn.com: What kinda commercial success are you expecting from this album?

I could give a fuck about commercial success! I give a fuck about respect. I don't give a fuck about glory, I don't give a fuck about fame, I don't give a fuck about none of that! I want people to respect me for the individual that I am, you know? I don't like sepparating my caracter I created.

dubcnn.com: You've been collaborating closely with Baby Ree Entertainment.. Can we expect more collabos in future?

Of course! That's my management! I'm one of the stars on their DVD.

dubcnn.com: Can you tell us about that DVD a little bit?

Yeah, it's like we at a psycho house.. the story is like we get into an altercation with uhh.. Butch Cassidy gets mad at me & Warren G, actually not quite funny cause Butch Cassidy dies early in the movie.. but the point of the whole thing is Shade Sheist doesn't want to keep living like that, with a bunch of fuck ups. He don't wanna keep bein' around us, he don't wanna live in a psycho house. It's really focusing on somebody that don't wanna live a fucked up life, livin' down the street from a crack house, so he like "Man I grew up right here and I fucked up my whole life and it ain't gonna be like that!"

dubcnn.com: When is that comin' out?

It's gonna come out after we finish shooting the movie and we're looking for distribution for the movie, we want it to be in Blockbuster and places like that.

dubcnn.com: What's up with the L.A. Confidential project? When are we gonna hear some more shit from them?

I got a compilation comin' out after my album, man L.A. Confidential is a big label, we got Yikes Slip Capone Time Bomb Young Timers Who's Who and shit, and I was blessed to be the first one to get released and make a distribution deal.

dubcnn.com: Are you planning to go on tour for the album too? What about overseas?

I already am, we're on tour right now, I came back here for a couple days before I leave back out, and I prolly ain't gone be back home until the middle or the end of March! And I wanna come overseas too, so homie look around and bring me out there!

dubcnn.com: I will. So what else can all the fans expect from Knoc in future?

Good music, caue I ain't never released nothing wack. I took me a long time to do it, but I take my time.

dubcnn.com: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

In 10 years I'll be a legend! Quote, unquote. I will be a legend!

dubcnn.com: Alright man, that's pretty much it. Do you anything else you want to tell all the fans out there?

Man, thank you for supporting Knocturnal, thank you for believing in Knocturnal thank you for making Knocturnal a household name eventhough I hadn't released a LP, thank you for not even just forgetting about a simple person, somebody like you! I'm a simple person, a human being!

dubcnn.com: Cool man, I wish you best of luck for your album!

Yeah man thanks alot, hopefully you'll interview me again when it goes double plat!!
