Dubcnn: We're right here with LoveRance in San Francisco right now. What's going on with you?

LoveRance: I'm just chilling, enjoying this beautiful day.

Dubcnn: You've been doing some big things lately. I hadn't heard of you up until a couple of weeks ago when I got out here to the Bay and I kept hearing that song "Beat The Pussy Up" and people go crazy for it. What made you do a song called "Beat The Pussy Up"?

LoveRance: It's a very weird story. I was in the studio and it was two young ladies in there with us. One of them suggested that we tried something different, cause we were just talking about partying and getting at girls and all that. She was like "Why don't you talk about something very sexual?" I'm used to making slow songs but this time around she was like "Make something that sounds like a Southern sound" and next thing you know, beat the pussy up came out! Boom, here we are now.

Dubcnn: Did you realize that you had a hit on your hand right when the song was done?

LoveRance: I didn't realize it until a couple of my friends were like "Ay, this is a real good song, you should push it." So that kind of pushed me into saying "Alright, I'ma push this song and see what it does."

Dubcnn: You're not the only one on the record, who else is on it?

LoveRance: Also featured on the song is my homeboy Iamsu! and my homeboy Skipper.

Dubcnn: Who produced it?

LoveRance: Iamsu!

Dubcnn: Okay. I see a lot of people making music and trying to get it out there, how did you get the song picked up and get KMEL to get behind it?

LoveRance: I would say it was three main components: the streets, ladies and twitter. Those were the main components of getting it to where it's at.

Dubcnn: So you went ahead and made a sexual song that's very successful. Did it help your success rate with the females as well?

LoveRance: Somewhat. I can't say fully, cause I've always had girls, you know. *laughs*

Dubcnn: Besides music, I know you're also getting your education on and going to college. Is that something that's important to you?

LoveRance: Very important. Everybody be like "You be at school during the day, at the club at night!" Hey, rapping is not for everyone, it's not forever. You gotta have a fallback and school is my fallback right now.

Dubcnn: How did you get into making music anyway?

LoveRance: I've always been into music. I used to be in a dance group, I used to be in a singing group - random, I know. I've just always been around music, I throw parties so I listen to music and it's always 24/7 around me.

Dubcnn: Where you are trying to go with it? Besides this single, what can people expect from you musically?

LoveRance: They can expect a good time, they can expect heartfelt stories, just a very positive vibe cause that's what I'm trying to push out. More and more songs about having fun and having sex and having more fun. *laughs*

Dubcnn: My story of finding your song is a story I've heard from other people too. I didn't know who it was, I went on Google, typed in "Beat The Pussy Up", found all sorts of weird porn and shit. I was like "how am I gonna find this song?" Then I saw LoveRance. Is that your real name?

LoveRance: My real name is Rance, the Love came bout because of AIM and Twitter. Back in the AIM days I used to have the name GottaLoveRance and when Twitter came out I felt like GottaLoveRance was too long so I shortened it down to LoveRance and the rest is history. The girls like it, so I stuck with it!

Dubcnn: You shot the video recently, what can we expect from that?

LoveRance: Just me having a good time with a bunch of ladies in a nutshell. I didn't wanna go too out the box with it, keep it to where it's like "Oh that's LoveRance, he's having fun, chilling with the ladies, he's a cool guy."

Dubcnn: So we can expect more music from you in the next couple of months?

LoveRance: A lot of more music. Mixtapes, albums, probably a sex tape coming soon *laughs* Who knows.

Dubcnn: If everything goes according to plan, where are you gonna be in a couple of years?

LoveRance: Hopefully on a beach in Morocco. Everybody wants to go to Miami, I wanna go to Morocco. Why not, fuck it!
