--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dubcnn: We're chillin with Meech
Wells and Young Joker. What's going on guys?
Young Joker:
Just running this new west shit. Keeping it hot from these Kompton
streets. So what's poppin' Dubcnn?
Dubcnn: So let's set it off with this. Joker, why did you say "Fuck
E-White?"
Young Joker:
Well he ain't the type of nigga I fucks with. Since I arrived to
Meechie's studio and I meet Sleep White, he didn't seem too happy I showed
up. He spoke on me, saying some bullshit on "The New West World Order Vol
2."
I fucks with real niggaz. Not niggaz who know real niggaz. He been to the
pen, yeah. But for beating up a bitch. Not shooting shit, not gang
related shit. Just some in house shit. I never been to the pen, but I fought
murder cases. I'm riding with with one strike and three felonies. Don't get
me wrong, a lot of niggaz go to jail for that shit, but all that time he
been growing up and never caught a real case. This is L.A. It's only a
few ridaz who don't get snatched up. And just think about it. This dude is
old as dirt. He's like 30-something. And his flow is trash.
Shout out to my nigga P-Loc - a real nigga from 20s in Long Beach. PS:
His teeth are fallin' out. *Laughs*
Dubcnn: You guys just dropped this new mixtape "The New West World Order 3."
Tell us about the project...
Young Joker:
The tape is dope. My nigga Jay Rock did it, Grand Prix did it, Truth
breathing life into the south. Young Third, Mayhem, Young Mack and
many other artists are on it. And of course, great production from Meech
Wells and the Soul Mechanix.
Dubcnn: What's different or better about this mixtape than the previous
ones?
Young Joker:
Well what's great is me and Meech did a track together where Meech laid
vocals on it, so that was dope. Plus, I'm gettin' better by the minute, so
it can only get better. And it has club bangers like "Half a Mill" and "Gangsta
Shit."
Dubcnn: What's next for the "New West World Order" series? Is a Vol. 4 in
the works?
Young Joker:
Yep, Vol. 4 will smack you right in the face very soon. And 5, 6, 7, and
so on.
Dubcnn: Joker, what's going on with your next street album "Mayhem"?
Young Joker:
I've been working on a lot of shit, which slowed it down, but it's coming
soon. No features on the project. Just me and Meech going hard. Expect it to
be one of the best mixtapes of all time.
Dubcnn: We heard the theme song for the new Food Network show Chef Jeff. How
did this come about?
Meech Wells:
Well, it's the theme song to the show and it'll be played on "Jay Leno,"
"Good Morning America," and "Oprah" to name a few. This should blow
Joker up where he needs to be already.
Young Joker:
Shit, we all have dreams. And we needed to make something for the youth.
Rap ain't just about killin' and drugs, even though that's what it seems
like that's all rappers can rhyme about. Plus, they're cutting checks.
Dubcnn: What role will you guys be playing on this show? Meech, are you
going to compose all the music you hear in the background during the show?
Meech Wells:
Yep, I have a few pieces in the show like the closing music and music
throughout the show. It should be pretty good.
Dubcnn: What's going on with the tour that you guys were gonna go on?
Meech Wells:
It got postponed, so we're doing the college tour with Chef Jeff to
support his book and get Joker some much needed shine he deserves.
Dubcnn: What's Eastwood been up to? Is he still recording a lot with you
guys?
Meech Wells:
Eastwood is working with us. He's going to finish up his mixtape.
He's also been meeting with Dre, so they might have something in the works.
Dubcnn: Joker, how is your solo album "Heaven Sent" coming along?
Young Joker:
It's going great. We have the singles finished and the stories. The
meaning behind the records are dope. We will have DVD footage on it too.
I'll send y'all a copy when we're done.
Dubcnn: Is the reality show still in the works?
Meech Wells:
No, not right now. I'ma write a book in two weeks before we go out
on tour. Me and my sister, who is on the hook of the Chef Jeff song,
are writing a book on my mom Mary Wells's life
story. It will be interesting, because it's from our eyes.
Dubcnn: Anything else you guys want to say to the fans?
Young Joker:
Hell yeah. Thanks for the love. Keep sending your feedback. Thanks to
Eddie, Rud, and the rest of the staff.
Dubcnn: Any last shout outs...
Meech Wells:
Dubcnn, Eddie, the whole staff. The streets, the net, and my niggas
on the tape: Eastwood, Jay Rock, 40 Glocc, and 211. Shouts out.
New West up. Holla!
Young Joker:
Shouts out to all my real niggaz. Killa Kompton I love yah, the whole city
- Piru or Crip. Top Gang in the building.
