Dubcnn Exclusive – Nicole Parker
A Woman’s Touch (The Special Dubcnn Series)

Dubcnn: You're from the west coast and that's always a good sign, knowing
that we at Dubcnn.com show love to the west coast. How does it feel to be
featured on here?
This is a blessing to be able to be featured on dubcnn.com because
that lets me know that you see potential in me.
Dubcnn: So who is Nicole Parker? We’d love to know who this new, hot model
on the rise is, that will be one of a kind.
I’m a girl that comes from a big family, but not the wealthiest or a
fabulous upbringing, but I’m trying to be someone. I want to make a name for
myself, but not just any name. I have 3 little sisters who are my world and
everyone makes mistakes and no one is perfect, but I want to set a good
example for my sisters, that no matter what you go through and no matter
what has happened or what mistakes you have made there is no one who can
hold you back from doing what you want to do, and making your dreams come
true, so I’m just a young girl on my grind to make it in this world.
Dubcnn: You've been going hard lately and you have been doing some
interviews with some popular publications from what I hear. How does it feel
that you’re living the life you wanted and getting closer to your goals?
There are no words that can explain this feeling knowing people believe in
me and are helping me reach my dreams.
Dubcnn: Usually a lot of models do have a hard time making it in the
industry. When it’s time to handle business, do you have dudes hitting you
up like "Want to go on a date"? How frustrating can that be at times?
As of right now I am not dating, I’m focused on family and myself and
getting where I need to be, I’m young and I have the rest of my life to find
that special person to settle with, although I believe I have already found
him.
Dubcnn: Is it usually easy to brush it off and be like "oh well, this will
happen" don't dwell on it just keep it moving?
Yes, that’s pretty much how it is.
Dubcnn: On a daily basis when grinding, what would you say your day consists
of, very busy but fun?
Yes, exactly, modeling is my dream, when doing videos and photo shoots, I
enjoy it and do what I have to do because that’s my time to shine.
Dubcnn: A lot of men find mixed women very attractive. Being that you're
black and Mexican, do you honestly think it’s an advantage or it really
doesn't matter because beauty is everywhere whether mixed or not?
I do think it is an advantage because every man loves a mixed girl, all
though there are very many beautiful women of all ethnicities. I think it’s
just the word “mixed” that makes men melt [laughs].
Dubcnn: Talk about some of the work you've done so far when it comes to
videos along with what's coming next?
I’ve done videos with Jay Sean and Nicki Minaj “2012”, I’ve done audio push
“up n down”, I’ve done a video with an up and coming artist by the name of
Gata, and I have an upcoming video shoot with Chris Brown. As far as photo
shoots, I’ve done Showgirl magazine, and I did Maxim in Spanish; I’m really
looking forward to early 2011 because I will be on the cover of Showgirl
magazine.
Dubcnn: Bring down the overall experience of being the lead model in a
video? Would you call it an early taste of acting since it’s something you
want to pursue later on?
Yes I do because being in a music video you have a role to play.
Dubcnn: Outside of modelling, let's jump into some music. When it comes to
hip-hop & R&B who are some of your favorite artists you listen to on the
regular?
I’d have to say Usher, Trey Songz, Chris Brown, Miguel Jontel, Donell Jones,
Musiq and Latif.
Dubcnn: Is there a song out there where you say "Man, I wish I was in that
video"?
Any Trey Songz video [laughs].
Dubcnn: Do you have a Hollywood crush, why or why not?
As of right now I don’t think I’d really want to be in a relationship with a
celebrity because I’m trying to be someone myself, not just known as “so and
so’s” girlfriend.
Dubcnn: Honestly, how do you feel about somebody like Kat Stacks, do you
feel she's a bad representation of women in the industry?
No, I don’t knock her hustle, every woman is judged individually.
Dubcnn: Wrapping things up for Dubcnn.com, do you have a final message to
fans?
I’d just like to thank everyone who believes in me and who is in my corner
now that I’m fresh in the game and has faith that I can make it where I want
to be.
