You know nomatter where you think you're from you comin outta
compton! Im doin it like this because I aint tryna base my whole
life off of compton.

N.U.N.E and thats what I do.

WCA/DUBCNN: What artists influence(d) your music?
N.U.N.E: Im'a keep it real, Lionel Richie from the gate Stevie
wonder from the gate Eazy E from the gate Dj quik on the
underground.Outkast without a doubt taught me how to
completely rap. Taught me how to flow I knew how to rap before that
but Outkast listening to the "southernplayalistik cadillac funky
music" ..
You know people jumped on em now but ive been down with em from the
gate. Thats my niggaz right there homie, I was withem for the ups
and the down it just showed me how to be
a wellrounded artist. Outkast and QUik showed me how to get my shit
together..them two plus Eazy E thats make the entrepenuer rightthere.
WCA/DUBCNN: How old are You?
N.U.N.E: 27 right now.
WCA/DUBCNN: Did you get a chance to meet Eazy before he died?
N.U.N.E: Aaw dawg I took pictures with Eazy man, me and my people LA
Dre man you know what I mean..that was my nigga. When LA Dre got
married in Vegas he took us down there
he told us it was gone be special you know we didn't know what and I
was like 15 at the most so im comin inthere im just a regular
compton N.U.N.E. I wasn't really into the rappin back then
I was a DJ. So I see E and Dre, Cube and everybody man Yella the
whole that was when NWA was still crunk right we at vegas at the
little place were they gettin married.
Me and Eazy was cuttin up homie thats why I can always remember
somethin about E man. Dam man I wish he woulda never gone homie.
He was cuttin the rug just being him with all that personality thats
how people be like I cant believe he's gone like people say about
pac its that personality that shines through homie.
E was maan(pauses for a sec) He was the real one homie.
WCA/DUBCNN: Did E use to roll alone?
N.U.N.E: E rolled alone man it weren't no bodyguards it was Eazy E,
Dr Dre uhh LA Dre Yella CUbe and Ren Period. No bodyguards None of
that just straight people umm one of the albums
they did in Vegas the one they was on the dice table that picture
they took that was the week we was outthere because I remember I
went back home and bought the album and was like
man we was just outhere withem if you look inthere you can see me
walk through the background.
WCA/DUBCNN: How did you come up with your artist name and does it
stand for anything?
N.U.N.E: Ok ima just explain this to everybody once. You know how it
got the dots N.U.N.E what it stands for is like really what time I
went to school thats why they used to call me N.U.N.E
because I used to show up at noon but the whole time im passing
every class without a book in my hand because im always studying at
the house thats how I learned to freestyle so good.
But at the same time when I got my name once they was like alright
you Noon I was like im not Noon im N U N E they was like watchu mean..
I was like Im IN U ANY..they said watchu mean?..
So I said spell my name and put time at the end so im In You Anytime.
WCA/DUBCNN: How did you hook up with Shade Sheist?
N.U.N.E: Well this the situation his girl knew a friend of mine
which was the ladyfriend of mine and my ladyfriend was always pushin
N.U.N.E once she heared me freestyle she couldn't even believe it so
everytime she got a chance she'd push N.U.N.E. She'd get intouch
with Shaq she's push N.U.N.E She'd get intouch with the boy in the
bay uhhm uhhm whats the name of the boy in the bay E 40 but not him
B-Legit not B-Legit but umm ?..
One of em right my homegirl she hooked me up with him right we was
gonna do something with bosco but I didn't have enough cheese to get
it goin but it was a hell of a deal man. Im still lookin out for
them cats to give
me that deal man. Man it was a hell of a deal so umm na it wasn't
B-Legit he looked like 40 but I cant remember the fools name..
WCA/DUBCNN: Is he a Veteran in the game?
N.U.N.E: Yea he's a real one too dam I can't remember.
WCA/DUBCNN: So what happened after that?
N.U.N.E: We hooked up that really didn't get nowere so she just
stoped on the hookin up N.U.N.E she kept tryna push me outhere so
Shade had that "WHere I Wanna Be" song comin it wasn't even out yet
it was in the ruff they just had the beat.
So they played me the beat im flowin she's like well Shade's about
to comeover in a minute thats his beat he left it over here..
I said well im not even struck im like whatever when he get here ima
do my thang I aint trippin on tryna rap for nobody because I know
how the game go.
The door gets shut on you alot and once that happens you kinda hot
about it so the thing is he came through and im just sittin there
flowin and smokin weed doin my thang he's listenin on the sideline
like daaam who is that?
then he was like tellin her aight he can do that when noone is payin
attention ima look dead in his face
let me see what he do.. So he tryna you know punk a nagga so hes
lookin all up in my face like ok now rap.
Man I musta blew his head off you when you rappin real like flowin
real killin it when people can't even deny your approval.

We was downthere and I was doing my thang homie and basically I told
him in the rap If you dont do nuttin for me this flow I got gone get
me to the top so what you best do is jump on this and he paid
attention to the flow..
You know there it is. Yea we been tight ever since working on some
business type shit some real appreciation of the game not somethin
like
(lowers his tone of voice) *alright youre my artist ima do this * na
none of that.
We gone see how we can get in the game and make the game better
because the rap game is basically is about doin somebodys endz
basically about gettin money outta somebody you know and you aint
doin nuttin.
Thats basically how I see the rap game and I aint tryna be a trend
to that I'ma be a trend to the new rap game.
All other entertainers the country pop singers you dont see them
strugglin like us you can have a rapstar that umm make a platinum
hit and then two months or 6 months later nothing. Im tryna kick
that out.
Even if you dont have nuttin after that you should leave with half
of the money homie.
The game is to many ways to get paid for these artists not to be
paid.
Kinda like the same thing Suge felt when he got in the game..Man
whats the deal why aint nobody getting paid in our field you know
what im sayin.
Theres some hot artists out here and the reason that you dont hear
whats goin on with them is because nobody's payin em right.
Everybody doing their own thing im tryna get paid im tryna pay
people right thats what PYO is about.
You think you HOT PUT YOURSELF OUT. We gone put you on the internet
all we want is we gone do everything press your cd's everything then
all we want is 10 % you aint gotto pay for none
of them cd's we sending out.
WCA/DUBCNN: What do you think your chances are to breakthrough as a
new artist?
N.U.N.E: As a new artist man it's gone be hard because the backing
we used to have BIG UPS TO DAMIZZA MAN eventhough we having our
problems right now..
Skanless is my dawg from Watts man He the hottest cat out of Watts
that has never been heared .. Compton we doin this thang
we working with Inglewood we working with longbeach we aint never
been went back to Watts were it really kicked off.COmpton and Watts
was really kickin the game open.
We aint never really went back there so right now what im doin is
goin to my real roots where my real niggaz is.Compton And Watts..
Thats were I get Skan from
Ive been knowin skan from back in the days back in highschool when
he was knockin em out you know thats my boy.
He had a record deal back in 90 and he called for me came and got me
from my job when I was workin up at the airport that record deal
didn't work out it was with
shade cats with black lester you know what I mean doin real big
thangs but that aint work out to good so tryna start it all the way
over.
My nigga skanless is rollin with me period Compton and Watts we most
definetly puttin it down.
WCA/DUBCNN: Yea I heared a few rappers from Watts The Young Hogs
have you heared them? Watchu Think Of them.
N.U.N.E: Yea I heared em, They tight they show you how gutter it is
but at the same time the gutter gully that they got its still party.
WCA/DUBCNN: So Why should people go out and check for you and cop
your new album?
N.U.N.E: Basically right now the rap game is real thirsty for a real
artist, like a cactus out in the desert and im the new wave of
muthafuckin clouds im coming
through with rain on the whole game. Im makin everything right I got
Shade I got Skan I got Psilla with me. Its poppin all day.
WCA/DUBCNN: Who will be featured on your album?
N.U.N.E: I have Knocturnal, Shade, Rich Bo, Damizza, ima try to get
E-40 to come through ima try to get Quik,
because Quik owe me somethin you know it's just compton love you owe
me compton god dammit *Laughs*.
Just basically all the people i wanna work with im tryna work with
homie.
We got the new song comin out "what would you do" you know the one
with me Shade, Mariah Carey and Nate Dogg but we might take Mariah
off and put p silla on there thats what
I was thinkin about doin anyway because yall need to hear who she is
and see whats crackin with her get her blown up because Mariah she
got famous.
WCA/DUBCNN: Who will handle the production on there?
N.U.N.E: Damizza did the production on that one but on my new album
we got producers such as sox such as N.U.N.E, LT Hutton, Warren G,
QUik Mahogany,
Scat and Kato. Its goin down man we got some real compton and watts
situation. we got Kindo from watts producing..You know it goes down
homie.
WCA/DUBCNN: Tell us what type type of tracks we can expect on the
album? Will you touch other subjects than partying on the album be a
little political maybe?
N.U.N.E: Yea when I say party im talkin bout the track my lyrics
gone contain somethin else.
My lyrics gone tell you what ima be doing in a couple of years. I
aint gone be talkin about im ballin because im not but when I do
that then you hear about it.
But basically my lyrics it aint no self consious shit it aint no I
luv the world shit. Its some real shit about whats really goin on
and then some shit I done made up.
This is entertainment dont never get it twisted.
WCA/DUBCNN: Why is there a little bit tension between Damizza and
your clique
N.U.N.E: Ima tell you the real man, My boy sheist has been way
unappreciated on the westcoast it seems nobody give a dam but us so
we had to was take our camp and roll it over.
Damizza you know what I mean he a good cat and all he a good
producer but he overstepped the boundaries.you all out his lane
right now I feel like
he can rap and all that shit but if you got two real hot artists by
your side if you really believe in em what you do is put all of your
resources
into them then you blow up and start doin other stuff.
Its like hes goin backwards goin doin other stuff and then he come
and do somethin with us. We aint finna wait around for none of that
you know..
He gone be on the radio, he gone do his thang because of the pull he
got and the power position he in but we tryna do is give the other
position the power
by just stayin with it, doing hard music and keeping it real.
WCA/DUBCNN: So how many people are on PYO right now?
N.U.N.E: We got atleast 7 ..We got the she readies, S ready buck
ready and sub ready. we got Skanless, we got Shade Sheist, Rock D, P
silla,
about 6 of us.The other ones gone come in a minut Westadelics shorty
bank, Clev and all them .but right now as the groundwork those are
who we dealin with.
WCA/DUBCNN: Where can people buy the albums? or do you guys have
some kind of a distro ?
N.U.N.E: The albums gone be in VIP's across the state, its gone be
in blockbuster..we got a distrobution deal comin got somethin on the
table right now with sony red.

We got my boy a new upincoming film director his name is booth he
HOT he's doing alot of stuff for bisquite films right now he on the
team, He doin all our videos.
We got our own little crew PYO we puttin ourselves out we got

soon?
N.U.N.E: Yea the first single your girl is gone be shot in two
months.

N.U.N.E: Yea im tryna get on Knoccturnal Album, im tryna get on one
the B sides of his singles. Shouts out to Knocc.
Im tryna get down with this DP2 Damizza presents 2 is comin out we
tryna basically iron out the deal with Damizza because its really
too much drama so what we need is to get that back straight and keep
rollin. It look like we broke up on some bull right on some bull
like (Lowers his tone of voice)
'What is yall doin' Its like when you really aint recording with
somebody you feel like they done jumped camps right. So what we
need to try to do is sit down one day at the table smoke a couple of
blunts drink a couple drinks and it would be a done one.
It aint really no serious beef we just need to get our business

WCA/DUBCNN: What do you think about westcoast rappers not gettin as
much luv on the radio and tv unless their affiliated to the veteran
mcs.
N.U.N.E: You know wussup with that? Thats cuz they didnt PYO thats
because they went through the record company.
The record companys homie gone do it like this: everybodys whos hot
thats comin out got somebody singin on their stuff featured right?
if you got a feature then you hot if you dont have a feature then
you maybe get on the radio. Im tryna restate the whole way to think
of this rap.
None of that featured artist man none of that Do your own if you
cant rap then go home.
I feel like the westcoast need to start boycottin all this situation
not just some of the situations then get back with the game I think
we need to just stop going.
Do our own situations make them come down here and get with

now??
N.U.N.E: Because of the production because of the attitude its like

N.U.N.E: Yea I listen to R&B thats pretty good man im a DJ I listen
to everything! Ive heared it all and I like it all.

WCA/DUBCNN: You said you produced aswell didn't you? so what is more
fun producing or writing rhymes?
N.U.N.E: The best fun I done had is writing rhymes homie, production
is fun but I really like to write rhymes. When you express yourself
it's real fun.
You be able to say what you wanna say and get it across like you
want it to get across then you listen to it and be like dam I like
that rapper.
