Dubcnn: Tell the fans how you entered
the rap game?
When I first entered the rap game first I took a listen to on umm what was out
there and seeing what I liked best so after I did that that's when I decided
to enter.
Dubcnn: Who influenced you to get in the game?
I always ran for the top line muthafuckaz so back then when I started it was
the run dmc's, Scarface, Ice Cube, Tupac you know what I mean? In that nature
and in that cathegory.
Dubcnn: Whatever happened to that album you recorded with Paris or was it just
a song you did with him..Thuglivin?
When I did Thuglivin with Paris that came out on his album the album that I
was gonna release through Paris was my Betrayal Album. But we never got around
to do it so we ended up puttin that on hold you know eventually going our
seperate ways.I mean it ain't no love lost or nothing like that me and Paris
are still cool you know I will work with him again on future thangs we just
gotto get around to it thats all.
Dubcnn: Yea because that's on eof my favourite tracks and you really sound
good over them beats.
Ok straight
Dubcnn: Will you make another record with him in the future?
Oh yea for sure most definetly.
Dubcnn: When did you hookup with Tupac?
I hooked up with Tupac in 96, got out of jail Mc Hammer called me on the phone
and said look check this out we got a new direction and we're going straight
to Deathrow with it. I'll call you in a week and let you know whats crackin.
So a week later I get in the house one night and I get a message from him
sayin I was tryna get in contact with you but I'm in LA right now so as soon
as you get this message call me and i'll fly you out and I hit him that night
and I had my flight out there the next morning. So I was with my man
Makaveli. And I had met him prior to that but I didn't know him. So when I got
introduced to him again it was all love.
Dubcnn: Can you tell us any funny stories that happened when you where with
Pac?
Man it's a few of them because Pac was this crazy mothafucka always raging out
on a mothafucka it was kinda funny to see him flash on mothafuckaz. But there
was a few times a couple of incidents where umm niggaz was in the studio
recording. And pac was like hey man what you in here for and dude was like
nobody and Pac was like what the fuck nobody?
And he went out flashing on dude and the people that was umm booking for him
the desc people so he was getting at them like what the fuck this supposed to
be a closed session.
That shit was kinda funny though and there was also this other time when we
where outside this little club and this girl kept pulling Pac on the sleeve
and calling his name like PAC PAC PAC he turned around and flashed on em..WHAT
THE FUCK YOU WANT YOU SEE I AINT PAYING NO ATTENTION TO YOU and you just keep
pulling a niggaz sleeve like Pac pac pac and then he softened up on her and
was like na baby wussup whats happenin? and she was like you know I cant wait
to visit you etc etc and then he flashed on her again YOU DONT EVEN KNOW ME
but you cant wait to kick it with me. So muthafuckaz was outside the club
laughin at that shit.
That shit was hella funny though..man it was quite a few it was cap sessions
Pac would clown you though he's a capper you know we was in the studio once
and he started capping you feel me he made the best of the sessions.
Dubcnn: I heared he wrote a song in like a few minutes and always had a
recording tape with him?
Oh yea he was raw he'd write a verse in a couple of minutes it was no problem
shit I seen him knock out 2-3 songs and shit. In less than two hours you know
what I mean. Somebody say he write hella fast Please believe it. I was in the
studio with Scarface and Tupac when they did the song "Smile" and scarface and
pac was sitting there writing their verses.
Pac finnished one verse went in there ripped it came back out Scarface is
still on his verse he going in finnish another verse and came back out wait
for Face to do his thang. Face was like It's cool man everybody ain't flash
writers like you. But they both came out with some heat on top of that you
know.So that goes to show ...it showed me two thangs man Patience and being
under pressure is a good thang sometime.
Dubcnn: Where were you when Pac got killed?
Man I heared I was in the town I heared that very next morning so after that I
made arrangements to Sky outthere and see what was happening with my boy. So
when I got outthere they had dam near a whole area blocked off whole area
secluded off.
You couldn't even get within so many feets of the hospital that he was at. SO
I couldn't really get to nobody couldn't get in to nobody you know what I
mean? wasn't no going in and seeing him that was out the question so it was a
few lovedones but at that time Pac got shoteverybody on secretive everybody
started changing they rooms everybody started checking out mothafuckaz started
going back home mothafuckaz was calling the frontdesk talking about I don't
want no incoming calls I was never here at this hotel man it was all kinds
ofbullshit going on.
Dubcnn: You know their been a gang of documentaries about his death and they
always point out Suge Knight do you think he had anything to do with it?
Well realisticly thinking and ghettoly thinking and thinking on a nigga level
and how we get down on these streets NAW I don't think Suge had anything to do
with his death I mean you gotto think though. I mean you got the brokest nigga
out in this muthafucka that wouldn't set a nigga up sitting next to him so
what makes you think one of the richest muthafuckaz gone do it.
If Im sitting there and Im a multimillionere Im not gone say come kill my
homeboy Im gone be driving and he gone be in the passenger seat. That don't
even make no sense now the Media thats the media speaking you feel me.
If you ask me I say the feds and the government killed Tupac. My theory on
where I get that from is you got two of the most powerful mothafuckaz at the
time you got Suge Knight which is a gangbanger and he's a multimillionere
gangbanger so that already right there promotes violence and now you promoting
rich violence because you got the money to do anything you wanna do a black
binladin a black saddam you know what I mean?
Now you got Tupac the militant soldierthe mind the brain he gone get us there
he gone change the world he finna fight to get political position so as he
fights to gain political position the feds is like na we can't let this happen
the government is like na we can't let this happen well the reason why they
can't let it happen is because if Pac come out of jail after a year and a half
and sell 5 million copies well you already know thats 10 million votes right
there so they were scared of that they were so scared of that position so that
he was gonna die so after that note they had to do something about it.
So what was the best way to do it?
Kill the brain and blame the power now you gone kill Tupac and blame Suge so
now they tryna kill two stones at once. They tryna make the public mad at Suge
because the media is making it seem like Suge killed him so now Pac is like
with really the only one with the truth Pac died with the truth. He seen what
happened he seen who shot him he seen what happened all that. You know
realisticly thinking man theres niggaz out here that ain't got a bowl of
noodles in their fucking bankaccount. Let alone tryna set somebody up so you
know a rich nigga ain't gonna do it and then if a nigga thats gone kill Tupac
he gone try to kill Suge too because he already know that everybody knew that
that was the power. So why not kill the power??
I mean comon think now ofcourse they ain't gone say a blood did it they gone
say a crip did it cuz Suge is a blood. So now they really got the story
confusing out here they say a crip did it but they saying Suge is behind it...
Bloods is bloods regardless of what you do and crips is crips this shit fall
apart so you know shit fall in a place some how some way.
As far as respect as far as nigga rules they be way on the streets so Na I
definately don't think Suge had something to do with it.I mean alot of people
say he worth more dead than alive I mean how can you say that when a soul is
everlasting, you see life in the soul.
If you can't see the soul you can't see no light, you can't see Tupac right
now.
But we feel him though.
Dubcnn: Thats right, there was rumours that he was gonna leave Deathrow and
stuff..
Well even if..well that goes with time anyway anybody that be on a recordlable
for so long even when you get to a age point in your life you gone be like
alrite it's time to get my own thing. So that's where Pac was at. Pac was like
Tha Row is my home but I finna go and do my own thang. I mean you can't kill a
man and expect more than what you was gettin.
Alot of it don't make sence. Then they say Suge was tryna be Greedy about it
but comon now He a Multimillionere.Im just talking in defence cuz there's so
many muthafuckaz out here speaking bad about Suge let's hear some niggaz that
are speaking in defence of him. Some niggaz that fucked with him I fucked with
Suge and the brotha was a cool man to me.
Now if I talked bad about Suge then I'll be lying I wouldn't be the real nigga
that I claim to be if I talked down on Suge. If Suge came and put his hands on
me then I got all rights to say man he ain't cool all this n that but that
ain't the issue here me and Suge is cool. We saw eye to eye and we kept it
like that and the same way with Pac me and him saw eye to eye man that was the
bidniss.
Dubcnn: Afeni Shakur sometimes removes people from the original Pac songs and
adds new more famous people I haven't seen her do that with the songs you
recorded with him! Do you have a good relationship with Afeni? She likes you
right?
Yea foshoe me and Pac moms we cool we got a cool relation she's a very
understanding lady. She was understanding of a few of the situations I went
through with a few Pac songs you know what I mean.
But I was taken off some songs so far you know whatever one wasn't in her
control so I couldn't blame her for that and probably cause she didn't know I
was on them songs alot of the other songs was like me and The Outlawz it was
guaranteed 6 to 7 people on the same song so it ain't like she gone be like'oh
yall took Nuttso off why yall do that?
Out of 6-7 people it ain't gone happen she rarely listen to Pac whole songs
anyway. I can't blame her for that but that's kinda fucked up though you take
the muthafucka off the song and then you make the song a little weaker. THAT
AIN'T WHAT PAC WANTED. Specially me though since all the songs with Pac I done
with him. It ain't like Pac died and then they put me on the song after that.
Dubcnn: Yea Spice 1 was pissed cause...
Yea I spoke to him personally on that *Laughs*
Dubcnn: What two songs where you on that wasn't in her control when you got
taken off?
Words to my first born and This Life I Lead. But it's cool Pac got another
album coming out.
Dubcnn: I was just about to ask you about that album?? Can you give us some
details about that album will you be on that album?
No actually this album that's coming out I won't be on there (Loyal To The
Game) But he also got an album coming out in 2006 we ain't gonna put no date
on it but he got another album coming after that and I will be on that one.
Dubcnn: Was the video for the Case Of A Ghetto Child completed?
No I never Completed that I went to jail came back lost connection with the
video dude then got back on line with him. It was too late I was ready for two
more albums after that. So I ended up keeping the piece that I had.
Dubcnn: Do you have a picture of you and Pac or You and The Outlawz that you
will be putting on your site?
Yea fo sho most definitely
Dubcnn: Have you decided what song to shoot a video for from "Fastlane
Legacy"?
The first video we starting off with gone be "which you see"
Dubcnn: Do you have all the masters for the Betrayal Album?
Yea
Dubcnn: Any updates on the release date for fastlane Legacy?
First quarter 2005.
Dubcnn: How about the Welcome To Oakland DVD?
The documentary is in the editing process right now. The album part is done
but the documentary is in the editing stage so as soon as I finnish that it's
gone come a month later.
Dubcnn: Did Go Twice produce songs for the Fastlane Legacy album?
No he didn't do no tracks for that album but I got a christmas EP that im
working on called Bad Santa that he's on.
Dubcnn: Dam you got so many projects dropping. Do you have good promotion
behind all that?
Not really on the christmas album but on Welcome To Oakland and Fastlane
Legacy foshoe.
Dubcnn: What can we expect from this dvd?
Everybody that never seen Oakland or know what Oakland is about this gone let
you know what it is. How we get down It's gone let you know why we ain't got
Blood n Crips in that muthafucka The Oakland Getto version of yall getto.
Dubcnn: Any unreleased video's of Pac or somebody that we might see on there?
Well Pac did a video that they didn't release and that was Every Other
City...Everywhere I Go (All ABout U)that me and Outlawz had a little cameo in
but they never did release that so I don't know what happened to that.
Dubcnn: When is the Betrayal coming out?
I haven't really thought about it but I know I will bring it out it's just a
timeframe of when I might put it out after the fastlane legacy don't really
have no set date for it.
Dubcnn: Did Paris produce on that record?
Nope.
Dubcnn: I like the beats on The Betrayal I got the tape it's bangin hard ...
Yea ima redo it.
Dubcnn: Tell us about the new album who you got producing on there and who is
the guests so far?
I got miyaki he's a good producer Gozzi both are bay area producers I got fat
back doing a couple tracks who else who else who else umm my boy adam doobiest
he did alot of the tracks on the movie album my last album. The featured
artists I got Tupac I got B Legit, Outlawz, Spice 1 and a few more local
artists around the town.
Dubcnn: Will you be on projects that aren't your own albums like other peoples
stuff?
Mixtapes I did a few songs for mixtapes that's floating around here and there
nobody big though. Just somebody that's come out recently.
Dubcnn: How many songs did you record with Pac do you remember?
I recorded about 8 to 10.
Dubcnn: How many are yet to be released?
Atleast a good 6-7 of them.
Dubcnn: What do you think about the rapper THE GAME who has a big buzz and is
beefing with Yukmouth?
We gone run into problems nomatter what day and age nomatter where we go. Now
how do I feel about an LA rapper versus an Oakland rapper that ain't my beef
that Yukmouth and Game so I let them deal with that. I do know Yukmouth we
cool cool peoples as a Mob and as a generation Yukmouth got his Mob and I got
my Mob we all Mob and all that but every blood don't ride with Game just
because he from you know what I mean though...
That's on them but if somebody say something about me that's me and their
issue that's another issue I can't really judge that. Because I don't really
know who roll on where and what went what you know what I mean?? I don't even
know why it started how it started who attacked who so I can't really speak on
that But if you comin like fuck everyone in the town just cause you beefin
with one nigga from the town then we got a problem with that but I don't think
that was the issue that shit woulda floated around from the word of mouth.
Dubcnn: Na he didn't say that
yea so that work the same way Yuk can't go say fuck every blood
Dubcnn: How do you feel about him as far as artist point of view?
Yuk or Game?
Dubcnn: Game..
I haven't heared much from Game but umm a few peoples been tellin me he be
bustin. He be puttin down the flows But I can't go on what the next person say
but I can say about Yuk cause I been listening to Yuk he a town nigga you
gotto listen to him Yuk Raw than a muthafucka Yuk be spittin that shit.
Dubcnn: How you feel about C-Bo..Why haven't you worked with C-Bo?
I bumped heads with C-Bo a couple of times in traffic through the Oakland
streets. I don't know Bo Raw! Bo Raw than a muthafucka too another nigga I
wanna get down with it's just timing, it's like Yuk ive been knowing him for a
minute but I ain't got down with him yet.
Dubcnn: yea you need to do a Thuglordz Nuttso song woulda been tight!
Foshoe we gone make that happen me Yuk and C-Bo gone get down on something
gangsta shit keep it gangsta.
Dubcnn: I noticed you visit Canada alot...Do you have a large fan base in
Canada?
Yea they show me a lovely time outthere. It was nice I can't complain.
Dubcnn: In most of California there's alot of Blood and Crip gangs howcome
there ain't any in Oakland?
Well the bay area is on a whole different vibe we don't get down with the
6.4oz and bouncing cars none of that. We got sideshows and highspeed we put
money in our engines the niggaz in LA they put money in their hydraulics. You
feel me...Everybody in the bayarea we Independent it's like nigga who is you??
You will catch a broke muthafucka talkin to a star ass nigga like who is you?
and he'll be like Im Denzel Washington and the nigga from the street be like
Im the Getto star out of this muthafuckin Oakland Im broke so Im the getto
star of Oakland what's the difference between us?
I can go to every hood niggaz love me on the independence tip it's like how we
think alot of booze come from Oakland. I can go to LA or Canada and they be
like oh that's Nuttso and I come back to Oakland and muthafuckaz be like who
oh ok I rap too so what? Don't nuttin move nobody out here niggaz is just on
some other shit so everybody out here is pretty much more independent because
of the background.
That's why they call it cokeland when the coke hit out in this muthafucka and
it burted from here man shit went crazy. Niggaz started getting money they
weren't about wearing red I don't give a fuck I got on Red and Blue. My neck
got on red and blue. My hat say C and B on that muthafucka I don't give a fuck
Im getting this money.
Nigga we out here selling zips for 2500$ when it first started in the eighties
you finna tell me Im trippin on this nigga cuz he got on a colour?? You crazy
Im finna trip on this nigga cuzz he's stacking some money over anything then
im finna run in his shit or we gone stack money together or I ain't just gone
fuck with him he gone get his and Im getting mine whatever.
So it ain't never been on no Unity gang type of shit. It's always been a block
thang it's been a city thang. The nineteez the hundreds the seneteez the
sixteez etc you understand that shits east Oakland. Everybody know everybody
but then niggaz don't give a fuck about nobody neither. That's why Oakland is
the way it is.
We run on like familys out here because alot of muthafuckaz out here was
growing up muthafuckaz had like shit a household dam near every block with
about 4 brothers and 3 sisters in that muthafucka or 8 brothaz and 1 girl in
it so it was more like a family thang. Out here you have the taxers and the
skinners and the flowers a family oriented thang it was a family of gangs out
this muthafucka.
You fuck with my family then that depends on who that family fucking with if
that family fucking with that family on some get money shit than muthafuckaz
gone bring their power to the block if they need it.
But it's all political though nomatter where you go it's all political. You
got Bloods you got crips you got vicelords you got desciples you got a
negative you got a positive who's the negative whos the positive well both of
them negative both of them positive you need both of them to keep life
running. That's what its about you got Bush and you got Bin Ladin.
*laughs*
Dubcnn: Both of them are evil. Are you gonna vote?
Yea Im'a vote to get Bush's punk ass muthafucka up out of there. I want put me
on a muthafuckin roof a hundred yards away with an AK from the whitehouse Ima
snipe his ass vote me on that put me on that *laugh* I get his ass out the
office
real quik.
Dubcnn: Paris is really into that political stuff.
Yea he into it they into it him and Public Enemy really that ain't my thing I
put gangsterism I put that outthere more than racism or more than the
political thing I wouldn't trip on them you know It's the world we live
in...We live in a political world but I don't trip on that. My world is 5
minutes from getting shot by the next nigga feel me.. My world ain't stocking
bonds when I get to that level then I can start worrying about these other
muthafuckaz blowin they brain.
Dubcnn: Will you be going on tour anytime soon?
Im tryna take off the second quarter 2005...
Dubcnn: Is it just US or will you come to Europe and Canada?
Im tryna start out in Australia well actually im suppose to be in Australia in
November.
Dubcnn: That's about it bro any last words for the fans?
Man I love yall keep bumpin my shit buy that shit this new album FASTLANE
LEGACY is finna get hard! Man buy that
