..........................................................................................

dubcnn.com : To start off, I wanna ask you where you grew up and if you were a Gang member.

I grew up in Long Beach and nah, I wasn't a gang member. Just had family in gangs, grew up around it..

dubcnn.com : How did you hook up with the DPG Clique back in the day?

Uhh, there's Dr. Dre, I started playin' for him, I was his keyboarder. And through him that's how I met Snoop and Daz, and the rest of 'em, and me and Daz clicked, me and him just kept workin' since then!

dubcnn.com : When did you realise that "Like It Or Not" would never see the light of day?

Uh, about the third time I went to visit Suge in prison.. He just kept me running around, so after about the third time I went to see him in jail about my album, that's when I probably figured it out. Alotta big things happened in-between with Snoop that I wasn't with, so I guess because of that he shelved my album.

dubcnn.com : Are you still mad because of that?

I ain't mad at i, you know what I'm sayin', but I'm just never again fuckin' wit him, I don't like him as a person. Fortunately, I'm still in the game where I can go and make me a second album and keep movin' on, you know! But I didn't like the fact that he would do that to my career, specially at that time, when we all felt we was real hot.

dubcnn.com : Will we ever hear all the tracks you recorded on Death Row Records?

I mean, you heard most of it! Daz put the record out!

dubcnn.com : Yeah, Dat Whoopty Woop..

dubcnn.com : Yeah, that was mainly the album I was doin', so he just put it out himself, so that was a good thing

dubcnn.com : How did you get off Death Row?

I filed bankruptcy in '99. It took me almost two years to get off there...

dubcnn.com : What happened to the original Gang consisting of yourself, Daz, Bad Azz and Tray Deee?

Oh The Gang? Well we still a gang, we just stopped goin' by that name really right now.. As far as that project, everybody had a different thing, Bad Azz had a solo album coming out, Tray Deee got wit Goldie and they started doin' the Eastsidaz, Daz doin' the independent thang, so we pretty much just let it die out.

dubcnn.com : Could we see a CD with unreleased material from those days?

Uhm, if we can find it! *laughs* If we can find it.. We on this new shit right now, tryin' to keep it rollin', keep the ball movin', at the same time with everybody as a family.

dubcnn.com : What happened to the LBC Crew?

I don't know, that's really more Snoops, you know? That was Snoop's project, I guess it didn't work out, cause you know you had to deal with alotta different minds in the group, they were like 5 or 6 7 of them, you know, so each of them had their different thoughts, so I guess maybe they couldn't get them all together and come together and have a successful group, so therefore it didn't work out.

dubcnn.com : Are you still in contact with Lil C-Style?

Lil Style yeah I seen him last week!

dubcnn.com : Are we gonna see his album soon?

Uh from Lil Style... I think he's workin' on it, we didn't really talk too much about business we just kicked it, you know what I mean. I hadn't seen him in a minute, so we just kicked it, but yeah I think I heard he was workin' on somethin' more than likely Daz will put it out independently.

dubcnn.com : So it seems like everything is cool again with him and Snoop etc..

I don't know regarding him and Snoop, I think more or less the vibe is...they ain't seen each other in a while, and the vibe is like you know why he was trippin', we just movin' on to new thangs and if I see you I see you, if not, ain't nobody really trippin'.

dubcnn.com : What about Swoop G?

Nah, we don't fuck wit him...

dubcnn.com : What were your first steps after leaving Death Row?

My first steps? Well I was back wit Snoop, soon as I left I went on tour wit Snoop, we did the Master P tour, No Limit tour.. That got my head back right, started workin' on shit in the studio, I couldn't put nothin' out vocally, cause you know I was still on Death Row.. Then I signed to Snoop, and now I'm tryin' to do it over here!

dubcnn.com : In 2001, we saw a Soopafly album called "Dat Whoopty Woop" on DPG Recordz. Did Daz basically bootleg your Death Row material?

Yeah, basically.. I had the album all ready, Death Row ain't got all the reels, I got most of the reels, so they just got some of the shit. So what I did was I just gave it to Daz and let him run wit it!

dubcnn.com : Are you happy with that album?

I'm not happy with it when it came out, but I think that if it came out when I did the album, back in 1997, it woulda have a more new sound to it, it's still bangin' album though, got alotta bass to it, alotta good production. That was my baby right there, my first album, and timin' was everything for that, you know what I mean?

dubcnn.com : Yeah you had a video for it all ready and all too...

Yeah I did that on Death Row.. that was for a single.. I don't even know what the fuck it was..

dubcnn.com : "Like It Or Not" where you were runnin' throughout the video!

Yeah *laughs* I didn't like that shit... I don't like nothin' affiliated with Death Row.

dubcnn.com : How many units did it sell?

I don't know! I gave all the proceeds to Daz, since he worked it.. I didn't really care about it, so you'd have to ask him about that. But I heard it did to pretty good independently.

dubcnn.com : What happened to that Willie Dynamite album you were supposed to release on Dogghouse Records?!

I'm still workin' on it, still workin' on it.. I got alotta projects I'm doin' you know.. I'm workin' on Daz' new record that he's puttin' out in June, workin' on me and his record "Tha Pound" album.. also workin' on Latoiya Williams of course, and also my record. So I'm just tryna stay busy right now, it's just time consumin'.

dubcnn.com : I mean we been waitin' for nearly a decade for a real Soopafly solo album!

Yeah yeah, alotta things happened you know? Now is just finally the time where I can kick back and work on some shit, even though I gotta go on these 2 tours in the summertime and that's gonna take up alotta time. But it's just time is with me and I'm doin' so much shit tryna stay paid, you know helpin' Snoop out.. We'll get there though, once it is, it's gone be tight!

dubcnn.com : Do you think you'll need a "Snoop Dogg presents..." tag on your solo album for it to get released on Doggystyle?

*laughs* Nah, nah, not at all I can for sure tell you that won't be on my
album!

dubcnn.com : Cause everything we've been seein' on Doggystyle is Snoop Dogg presents...

Yup, but Dogghouse gotta get the little business right, they tryna make re-innovations, tryin to succeed as a label, so we just tryna sit back and play our part as a team until we're called up to bat, and the first one is Latoiya Williams right now. And that won't be Snoop Dogg presents album, its just gone be Latoiya Williams and whatever the name of her album is gone be, and that's of course gone be RnB and I'll be right at the deck.

dubcnn.com : Will your solo album still be called Willie Dynamite?

Uhh, I don't know! Time passes, you may have a better idea, you know.. But that is my AKA beyond Soopafly, that's just my name, so I might do a couple tracks regardin' that, that's more a character I like to get into visually, and verbally.

dubcnn.com : Can you describe your solo?

It's gone be real musical, I'mma have to lay it out on this one. It's gonna be a real sitations, women.. niggaz I gotta deal with, shit that everybody can adapt to, you can say "Damn! I been in a situation just like that!" Funny shit, keep em laughin, and we always have to keep the bitches dancin!

dubcnn.com : Will you produce every track?

I don't think so, I'ma do the majority of it, and then go and get a few people that I feel that I wanna represent on my album, you know.

dubcnn.com : Are we gonna see The Neptunes on there?

*laughs* If Soopa's budget can afford a Neptune!

dubcnn.com : The fans are waitin' for some West Coast shit, G-Funk..

Yeah 213, their new album, they workin' on their shit, G-Funk that's mainly Warren G who brought that Era out, and they back workin' on they album right now I heard couple songs they tight, they tryna get their shit out, Nate, Snoop & Warren G.

dubcnn.com : Will your solo have production similar to your Death Row shit or rather the stuff you've been experimentin' with lately, like on Daz's solo album .

Uhm, it's gonna be a mixture of both. I'm kinda leanin' back towards the...Well I really don't wanna say, cause other motherfuckers might jump on it before I come out with it, but I'm tryna lean towards the old, NWA days Ice Cube days, as far as West Coast HipHop. Even though it was Gangsta Rap, the tracks was HipHop, breakin' in down have all the scratchin' in it loops, and all that shit. So I'm tryna lean back that way and bring it back for them man..

dubcnn.com : And who will you have as far as guest appearances go?

Oh man, that's too quick to name, you know. Everybody from my camp of course.. I'd like to fuck wit The Clipse, I'd like to fuck wit Jay-Z, anybody willin' to get down on it, I haven't really thought too much about my guest appearances but they're gone be big. West Coast Pioneer Gangsta Shit, believe that!

dubcnn.com : Honestly, WHEN can we go out and buy a Soopafly album in a store?

Probably middle of next summer, I doubt before.

dubcnn.com : That's a year!

You gotta think of finishin' the album, and the right marketing and promotion... You know me, and you know how mutherfuckers out there don't know me. I got my solid fanbase right now, but I don't have a really worldwide fanbase like everybody else. And we all know that to make a successful album, you gotta get out there and have a buzz around you, and get your name out there. Mixtapes, all kinda shit. So right now I'm just tryna feature on alotta shit, put other shit out in the meantime, so my name will be on alotta shit and motherfuckers will be expectin it and wantin' to go out there and buy it.

dubcnn.com : Are you gonna get down wit Dr. Dre too?

Of course, yeah, I've been hangin' around there too, listenin' to his new thang, so you know..

dubcnn.com : Are you gonna be on Detox?

Shit, if he want me to be on there! Not for sure yet, he's been goin' in and out, workin' with his different artists, so if it comes up, shit I'll be waitin'!

dubcnn.com : A while ago, Daz announced a Soopafly album on his site called "50 Sac". Is that happening?

I doubt it, I think he was just talkin' shit... *laughs* Just tryn' to get the songs out I dunno what he's tryna do... Daz is quickminded!

dubcnn.com : Yeah, Daz been sayin' alotta stuff...

Yeah he do.. *laughs* that's my nigga that's my best friend.

dubcnn.com : Were you happy with the way Doggystyle Allstars came out?

Nah... Nah.. I wasn't. But unfortunately now, I'm a team player. Not really unfortunately I won't even say that, but unfortunate for the situation, I don't have the last say or the last word on alotta things so, you know, my opinions and input were taken in, but bottom line is, it wasn't the right choice I would have done personally.

dubcnn.com : Now if you had the choice, how would the album look?

I would start doin' some... Hold up how can I put this. I don't wanna say immitated, but I would really go back and try to go back and get as close to the sound of the early days as I could, you know? I feel that's how we shoulda formatted, any album that we do as a compilation or whatever. So we shoulda formatted in that kinda content. But I mean you know, all minds don't think alike, so it has to be some kinda agreement that everybody comes to, sometimes unfortunately it doesn't appeal to everybody as far as some of the fans..

dubcnn.com : Will we see a Doggystyle Allstars Volume 2?

Uhm, I'm not lookin' forward to that, unless it comes around where we can get together and make it tight... I'm just lookin forward really to my album, Latoiya's album, and I'm really lookin' forward to this Dogg Pound album, called "tha pound" because of the name license and all that shit, I'm lookin' forward to this Pound record and see how we can keep it crackin'!

dubcnn.com : Why doesn't DoggHouse put out some remixes.. might help blowin' up.

It MIGHT help, that's the reason why I wouldn't do it, cause it just might help *laughs* I mean shit I ain't really hearin' remixes that much, sometimes I do, I'm just tryna finish up this new shit right now, once I get done with all this, I might go back and do somethin' extra, you know some extra shit.

dubcnn.com : What do you prefer, producing or rapping?

Really both. Producin' is my job and rappin' is my hobby...

dubcnn.com : And what if you had to choose?

If I had to choose? Producin.

dubcnn.com : Would you rather consider yourself a sampling producer or a self composing producer?

Self Composing.. You can't really name three samples I used through all my
beats.

dubcnn.com : Is the whole Pimp thing just an image or do you really have women that sell their bodies for you?

Uh not at the moment but I have and I do *laughs* They will give me what I need, and that is monetary, monetary values, you know, so.. Not everybody, but people in my stand point, will know the pimpin' game real well, it's always gone be pimpin' and it's always better to be a reciever than a giver *laughs* That's my motto, but no I don't have hoes on the corner, that's old school pimpin', this is new millenium pimping right here! That's how I keep it crackin'.

dubcnn.com : What equipment do you use for producin'?

Shit, anything that makes noise! I got a 3000 Drum machine, Lotta keyboards,
rackmounts and i gotta Mackey board.. mackey studio.

dubcnn.com : And has the equipment gotten better from when you first started till now?

Oh yeah, a lot better. I still like the old school, goin' to the big studios, using the SSL boards but you know, then they came out with the Pro Tools, then the Mackey boards and it made a lot of stuff easier, and it sounds better, comin' out your house so it's a lot more comfortable and you make a lot more music when it's right there, I'm in my studio right now!

dubcnn.com : What's your personal favorite Soopafly line or verse?

Personal favorite... Probably "You Thought" from Tha Doggfather.. That was my first rhyme that I really liked, rappin' wit Snoop Dogg, AND Too Short!

dubcnn.com : How did you hook up with Latoiya Williams?

I hooked up wit her through a mutual friend, he plays the bass for me sometimes, and I asked him if he had anybody that can sing, and he hooked me up with her, so we just took it from there.

dubcnn.com : When will we see her album?

Hers should be out beginning of next year. Miss fourth quarter, fourth quarter is too rough right now, that's when all the big timers come around, you know that. So we gone put her out at the beginning of the next year.

dubcnn.com : Will you handle all the production on her album?

Uhm no, probably half of it, and for the rest we gone go to whoever we need to who can musically fit her voice.

dubcnn.com : What about guest appearances?

For her? I would like to have Kelly Price on there, I like her. She's trying to stay as old school as she possibly can, with just real singing, so she wants the real singers to come out, she used to sing with Gladys Knight so im sure she would want her to do a guest appearance on there.

dubcnn.com : You need to get Butch Cassidy on there!

Butch Cassidy? Yeah!

dubcnn.com : And do you think the HipHop Crowd will accept Latoiya Williams?

The HipHop crowd? The Hip Hop crowd is the same as the RnB crowd, it's mixed in there's no separation really, unless you goin to dig deep for hip hop heads like real deep HipHop heads who into shit like The Roots, won't accept Latoiya's voice, as well as any other RnB singer, but I mean whatever they feel! But I mean when they hear it, they're gone like it, or at least they're not goin' to have anything negative to say about it. But as far as the mainstream fans, they gone love her.

dubcnn.com : Why are releases so slow to come on Dogghouse Records?

Interior business.. you gotta get it right, you know. That's just mainly it, not too much more.

dubcnn.com : But are we going to see any DoggHouse releases before the end of the year?

Uhhh.. hopefully! I would have to check up with the CEO, that's Snoop Dogg, and see what the game plan is.. In the meantime, I stay at home and I stay workin' at all times, me and Daz, and whatever's needed to come out, I just got a gang of music to fit on that album you know, whatever. So hopefully, we will!

dubcnn.com : Will Tha Row Killa album see the light of day?

Tha Row Killa? Yeah, that's gone see the light of day.

dubcnn.com : When?

We workin' that out in the meantime, in between workin' on all these other projects, but we gone put some shit out there, just to stir up the game real quick.

dubcnn.com : Is it any good?

Yeah, it's gone be very good!

dubcnn.com : Who's gone be on it?

Me, Daz, Snoop, probably everybody from the REAL Dogg Pound...

dubcnn.com : Xzibit?

Oh hell nah! He wouldn't even get on it anyway, if we asked him

dubcnn.com : Is it just gone be on some "Fuck Suge Knight" type shit or is it gone be some real disses, like..

It's all gone be Fuck Suge Knight, but it's just gone be the truth!

dubcnn.com : I mean, is it gone be the way Dre and Snoop dissed Eazy or Eazy-E dissed Snoop and them, like some meaningful disses, or it just gone be some screaming over beats.

It's gone be both. It's gone be the truth! Everybody don't know the truth of why this and why that... I been lookin' on this internet piece, this message board, these cats don't know what's goin' on in the interior, they don't know WHY things happen and how we really feel about people, so everybody wanna hear the real story, that's what those disses were made of back then, that's why they were so successful, because they were the TRUTH, you know what I mean? Just like Ice Cube on No Vaseline, where he was dissin' NWA, he was tellin the truth, breakin down the business, breakin down who was gettin' fucked and why, that's the real truth, so..

dubcnn.com : Exactly, because on the song "U Ain't Shit", Bad Azz and Daz didn't really say WHY Fuck Suge Knight or Fuck Ja Rule, they just said it..

Yeah, but that was their project...

dubcnn.com : But are we gonna hear the reasons too?

Yeah, exactly, I agree with you. But you ain't heard my disses yet, and I can just speak for myself on that. They gone go deeper! It's just the point that "should we do it, should we just kill them off, and not even let it get out there.." I mean they shit don't get heard past their office buildings you know what I mean.. Our shit gets heard worldwide. We can kill 'em off by not sayin' shit and just lettin them die out by themselves, because they don't have nothing over there, that's gone be worth anythang... You're not sellin' shit unless it says 2Pac on there.. or old school Snoop or something like that. We'll get to it, thats not my main focus, my main focus is me. It's just sometimes I get mad, I wanna write some shit.. and sometimes I don't give a fuck, because I know that they ain't worth shit, so.. it depends on how far it gets out there. They haven't done anything, detrimental to us, I feel that we need to respond to in a real way you know? I'm gone see Kurupt, so we gone handle our thing personally, you know! I'm not even trippin' off that...

dubcnn.com : Will we ever hear some true G-Funk comin' out of the DPG Camp again, with the G-Funk whistle and all?

The whistle? Shit I can put a whistle in there if you want one! *laughs* The Moog one? Yeah you'll hear some of that, I'm trying to work on that now, I just got me a Moog, I'm just gone try and work on the old school music as much as I can, trying to get Daz back in hear makin' beats also.

dubcnn.com : If the production was to take a new route, how would it look?

My production?

dubcnn.com : Yours, or West Coast production generally...

Again, I would go back to what it was in the first place. And then that sound would become a new sound. It's nothing better than the essence of Hip Hop, West or East Coast.. That's why old songs keep gettin' played all the time, because they were the shit back then you know? That's what formed West Coast Hip Hop, so I would try to take it back to them that way.

dubcnn.com : Will we ever see a full DPGC Reunion album with the whole clique?

Hmm, everybody except of Kurupt! Thats through!

dubcnn.com : Yeah.. I know. Ya'll could take some old verses though.

I mean yeah, but that's like recyclin', and I don't even think we'd be trippin' to be able to wanna take verses off him.. Our attitude is FUCK HIM, for what he did to us.

dubcnn.com : Do you think we'll still see a DPGC - Reunion album with the whole clique (except Kurupt)?

I mean we could! It just hasn't really been discussed like that, but we
possibly could in future...

dubcnn.com : We gettin a new West Side Connection album, a 213 album... why not DPGC?

Yeah, it's a good question, it's a good question. It just hasn't been discussed that's all...

dubcnn.com : If it happens, make sure Mr. Malik is on there!

Malik? We'd have to find him.... *laughs*

dubcnn.com : Will you be on the 213 album?

Yeah!

dubcnn.com : Producing or rapping..

Hopefully both.

dubcnn.com : And do you know who will be handlin' production on there, besides Warren?

Uhm... nah I haven't been too much in their sessions, so I don't know who else they got producin' for them..

dubcnn.com : Cause there were rumours goin' around, that they gotten Just Blaze!, Timbaland, The Neptunes, Fabolous, Jay-Z on the album.

Who said that?

dubcnn.com : Some magazine..

Na I doubt that.. I doubt it, I think the 213 album could hold his own with just 2 1 3. They might have a couple, one or two I don't know the immediate plans, but I'm pretty sure that album, with their names, they can hold their own weight. And really the purpose of that album IS for them, so I'm pretty sure that they will focus on just them three..

dubcnn.com : It would be interesting to see an album without any guest appearances!

Yeah, that would!

dubcnn.com : We haven't seen that in long time..

True, we sure haven't! I might lean that way too, I don't know! I have to have my family on there though, you know!

dubcnn.com : Will we see you hookin' up with Nate Dogg in near future, for his solo or something?

Hopefully! I mean we fuckin' around everyday.. We play basketball together... Hopefully I can get him to come and fuck wit me on my album, and lay something down for me!

dubcnn.com : Who's better at basketball?

Oh me! *laughs* Nate's not a bad player, I'm just quicker, jump higher!

dubcnn.com : There's a new artist on Dogghouse replacing Kokane.. who is it?

Uhm, his name is Delano, he's an RnB singer.

dubcnn.com : But who is he? Like where from, what does he do...

He's from Southern California... I don't know exactly where.. I really don't know too much about it, I've seen him a couple times but I know he's an RnB singer and Snoops workin' on his album right now.

dubcnn.com : How come he was signed so quick? Like we had never heard of him, and suddenly he's on the label!

That was Snoops idea, and really Snoops judgment. I guess they needed a
singer, and he can bring Snoop that..

dubcnn.com : But why did Kokane leave?

Kokane? I think they had business problems, between him and Snoop, so I don't really know the very interior of it, but it's not BAD terms, but I guess they thought it would be better if they part ways as far as business...

dubcnn.com : A similar situation to the Eastsidaz'?

Well with the Eastsidaz, they back together, they been workin'..

dubcnn.com : I know, they're on TVT Records right?

Yeah they're on TVT.

dubcnn.com : But I mean, they still left DoggHouse, and there were rumours of some serious problems...

Well I think DoggHouse... Man I don't know the real business of it, but I think DoggHouse signed them to TVT, before I guess DoggHouse was a real label. It was just more for the name, so I guess whenever the business happened, TVT had picked them up with a second option for the third album, you know what I mean? And they still with TVT, I guess because of the contract, but they still workin' wit Snoop and he still has input on their stuff.

dubcnn.com : Will we still hear Kokane on the new DoggHouse stuff?

Mmh.....

dubcnn.com : I mean he was all over the other albums!

Yeah he was.. I don't think so in future...

dubcnn.com : Will we see a E-White solo album in near future?

Yeah I know he's in the lab workin' on his solo.. Everybody in their lab workin' on they shit!

dubcnn.com : Are you gone do some shit wit him?

Oh yeah, yeah.

dubcnn.com : What is the current roster of DoggHouse records?

The current roster is: Latoiya, Delano, Soopafly, E-White.

dubcnn.com : Tell us about that group, Tha Pound.

Uh huh, Tha Pound is just me and Daz. Everyday we makin' music together and we thought "fuck it we might aswell make a record and do somethin' and put sometin' together!" I ain't trying to take nobody elses place, everybody knows that the Dogg Pound as far as the gang, was more than just Daz and the other guy...

dubcnn.com : The other guy *laughs*

Yeah! It was a whole gang! They just represented as the Dogg Pound on records.

dubcnn.com : So you aren't trying to replace "the other guy".

I mean really this isn't a Dogg Pound record this is a Pound record. And it's gonna be looked at like that. But shit we just tryna put the shit out, and if they don't like it fuck 'em!

dubcnn.com : When can we see that project?

Uhm, we're workin' on that as soon as I finish Daz' solo album up.. then we will be workin' on that!

dubcnn.com : Is it gonna be on DPG Recordz?

Nah.. We don't know yet.. Snoop wants to pick it up.. there's a couple other labels lookin' at it, so we just focusin' on the music right now, and once we got it, it's always easier to make a deal with finished music.

dubcnn.com : What was your first thought when you heard Kurupt is signing to Death Row?

I couldn't believe it. I thought they was lyin' at first, until.. I guess until too many people started tellin' me.. And I got it from some reliable sources, so after that it was like "man...." I was just shocked for a couple days. And then raged *laughs* I mean shit that was a fucking coward move, he be talkin' bout "niggaz is cowards", HE's the coward, you know? Fake ass gangsta, so, really Suge scared him, told him some shit made him come back.. He was too scared to stand up like a man, like what we doin'! I'd fuck Suge all day man, I don't give a fuck if I'm by myself, or anybody else!

dubcnn.com : You think you could fight Suge??

Nah, I don't even wanna say what I'd do if I see him... Of course I'm only 170 pounds, he's 300 something pounds.. But for me to come out unharmed, then you can guess the rest *laughs*

dubcnn.com : Did you hear Kurupts "I didn't change"?

I heard a little bit of that shit... That's some sucker shit.. Sounds like he was cryin'... sounds like a cry for help.. Talkin' bout he didn't change... Why would you make a song called you didn't changed?

dubcnn.com : Did you hear "I'm Back"?

I seen a little.. I was on the internet I've seen a little.. you know how they write the song out.. I seen that I ain't heard it though. I think he talkin bout me. He's too scared to say somthin' bout Daz! So you know, I'm more of his size, so he gone say somethin' bout me, so hopefully I can catch his ass and beat the shit out of him!

dubcnn.com : You'd really beat him?

Yeah I'd beat him to a pulp! We had two conversations on the phone since he been up over there. First one was like "I'm gone beat your ass when I see you" and second one was "you just pitiful.." He be callin' explainin' and shit.. If you ain't did nothin' wrong, why the fuck you callin' explanin shit! That's how I feel..

dubcnn.com : Shit's sad, I mean we saw some of the greatest music coming out by Kurupt and the Dogg Pound...

Yeah, but this shit goes deeper than music! He dealin with motherfuckers who be trying to fuck us out of our money, every time we see him we got to fight him, we get into fights and shit with this motherfucker, and then this little bitch ass nigga gone run back over there, so we declared that that's our enemy, that's it, we're not fuckin' wit him no more. And then he runs back over there with him! So it's like man... your choice as a man, is fucked up to us homie!

dubcnn.com : One question, was he yellin' "Fuck Deathrow" too on the Puff Puff Pass tour?

Now I gotta think about it... I thought he was... But I didn't really look at his mouth cause nobody was suspectin that he was fuckin' with Death Row under the table like that! I mean when I say Fuck Suge Knight and Fuck Death Row, I'm lookin' straight at the crowd, I'm not lookin' at the homies on stage, so I really didn't see that. That was a real interestin' part of the show to me, so I was into the vibe and I didn't see... None of the nights I could tell you I looked straight at his mouth and see what he said, so I don't know.

dubcnn.com : Is there the slightest.. ANY chance of y'all working with Kurupt again? If he leaves Death Row and comes back?

Yeah.. yeah probably... I mean Snoop, he got a heart. I can see him doin' something. But I can't see me and him gettin down we gotta fight in the backyard or something, as far as respect level, and I know Daz is trying to tear his head off, he's scared of Daz, he ain't scared of me.

dubcnn.com : I interviewed DJ Jam, and he told me that it is still a family, and families break up and make up.. and that you never know.

Yeah, I mean Jam, he'll keep it like that, he's lookin' to a positive side *laughs* There's nothing wrong with that, but shit real talk like I'ma give you is FUCK HIM, the nigga ain't coming back, and if he do, shit he gone have alot of provin' to do, you know?

dubcnn.com : And what's the situation between you and Roscoe?

Me and Roscoe? I ain't got nothin' against him, he's just the brother of Kurupt, I ain't stupid! I just got my problems wit Kurupt, he's just his brother, they family, whatever. I mean Roscoe is too young for me to be gettin' mad. That's like Kurupt gettin' mad at my little brother, you know. That wouldn't make no sense, it's just between and him.

dubcnn.com : Roscoe been on the radio, makin' jokes about Snoops shirt size..

About Snoops shirt size? Oh real.. I mean you know, he young.. I can't really focus on a little kid *laughs* I'm talking about some supposed to be grown men right now so, of course little kids gone talk that's just small talk, everybody knows when it comes down to it they gone have to show.

dubcnn.com : But you would work with him again.

Roscoe? Yeah I'd have to sit down, talk to him real good, put him in the head, like Bad Azz did, we'll talk again, I ain't really trippin', ain't no problems.

dubcnn.com : Oh and about DJ Jam, will you be on his WBallz Mixtape?

Yeah, I'm on there!

dubcnn.com : Producin' or rappin'?

Rappin'... he's supplying all the beats... Oh no no no hold on I produced a
track, I did a song on there I forgot, me and Snoop did a song on there.

dubcnn.com : Are there any skilled artists on Tha Row you would work with if they
weren't?

I used to fuck wit Crooked I, me and Crooked I used to fuck wit each other before he did that dumb shit. He used to rap wit me believe it or not, I was tryna fuck wit him when he was signed to Big C Style. Humble back then, real cool, and a good rapper you know? If he came into the right situation, he coulda made it big! Unfortunately, the way he got signed over the the Row, was messed up, I agree wit that, but he could've chosen the route I took. I'm sure he wouldn't have gotten that many problems. Bankruptcy could have gotten him out of his deal. To say that you can do nothing to get out your deal is kinda little to me cause I got outta my shit. I was signed BACK to Death Row, I got out on breach of contract before my bankruptcy, and I had got signed back to Tha Row through Daz, because I was signed to Daz. A second time, so I was signed to Death Row twice, and THEN I had to go through bankruptcy to get off this, so I know he could have done the same. Really now, I guess Suge got to him, now he wanna ride wit them or whatever.. He a real good rapper, but it takes more than that. There's alotta rappers out there that can flip they rhymes like he do, he good at it, and can flip shit real good, but I heard other motherfuckers that can do it real good too, and it's a gang of motherfuckers out there that can, that's real intricate wit their rhymes. BUT, they don't have deals. Why? They not hooked up wit the right motherfucker, or they not here they not there, or they wit the wrong crowd. So you gone hear alotta good rhymes comin' out on wack beats, you know, and he gone be talkin' about shit that you don't really wanna talk about, because overclouded wit that Death Row shit, wit the pressure to diss people you know what I mean, because somebody else said it. But anyway, he's the only one I would have worked with, everybody else is garbage to me!

dubcnn.com : What about Eastwood or Spider?

Garbage! I hadn't even heard of Spider, I only heard him two days ago, he was talkin' shit about Daz...

dubcnn.com : Danny Boy?

He sings good, but NOTHING on Death Row is gone prosper, so it's not even worth looking at, nothing over there is gone prosper, if your mind is ridin' wit the row, you ain't gone make shit.. OR you gone end up gettin' killed, see what happens! *laughs*

dubcnn.com : I interviewed Crooked I too.. and he sounded kinda confident about bein' over there..

Yeah.. see that's what happens when you see that money, and started gettin taken care of, money makes you feel confident so, however he's feelin! I'd also say it's a false sense of confidence, if he wanna feel confident over there, alotta bad things gone happen man, we ain't seen half of it yet.. And I'm just happy I'm from under that whole cloud, and I got my best friend Daz up under that cloud.. Alotta bad shit gone happen over there.

dubcnn.com : And is Lil Half Dead still around with ya'll?

Yeah he's still wit us.

dubcnn.com : Does he sing or rap at the moment?

Uh, right now he's singing...

dubcnn.com : Tell him we want him to rap!!

I'll let him know! *laughs* I'll let him know fo sho!

dubcnn.com : What's the current situation with Xzibit? He was bein' dissed left and right lately...

We don't fuck wit him...But we ain't trippin on him..

dubcnn.com : Is there any chance of stuff gettin' cleared up again?

Probably so.. it ain't as deep as Death Row shit, you know. It's just some shit we felt he wasn't true on.. We just wouldn't fuck wit him on a personal level, if we wasn't rappin and he was a homie in the hood, and he did what he did, we wouldn't fuck wit him!

dubcnn.com : I spoke to Knoc-Turn'Al last night and he told me Xzibit would be on 213...

I mean... *laughs* I don't know.. Knoc-Turn'Al is not from the Dogg Pound so I don't know why he made that comment.

dubcnn.com : Is Butch Cassidy still around?

I see him every once in a while.. He's on MCA.. He comes through every once in a while.

dubcnn.com : What about Battlecat?

Him also.. I don't really know what he's doin' haven't seen him in a while, but I'm sure he's still in the lab makin the music.

dubcnn.com : He was all over the Eastsidaz stuff and we ain't seen him produce much lately...

Yeah, I don't know.. All I can assume is he's probably pickin' up more projects, takes some more time branchin' out doin' different things wit different poeple!

dubcnn.com : And will we see you hookin' up wit DJ Quik?

Yeah, yeah, Quik is my homeboy. We've never done anything as far as music that has been out, but he's helped me on music that I've done, and I've helped him on music that he's done. We been in the same studio, I be in the A, he be in B, I go in here playin' keyboard lines for him, he'll come over and play some percussions, or show me something on the mixing boards, give me something to make my snare sound better, you know, anythang! He's real cool like that, so I can really picture me and him workin', doin' somethin' big in the future!

dubcnn.com : When I interviewed Jayo Felony, he dissed Daz pretty bad.. would that prevent you from working with Jayo again?

Yeah, yeah, if he dissed Daz fuck him!

dubcnn.com : The song you had wit Jayo was bangin' though!

Who me? I ain't heard that motherfucker in years! I don't really know..

dubcnn.com : That song was bangin'! It was called "Hurt That Nigga" from Crip Hop.

Oh he put it on there?

dubcnn.com : How can you forget about that?

I do so much shit homie...

*Hurt That Nigga playing*

Oh shit, that was kinda tight! I ain't gone say too much on Jayo right now... I don't like all that interview gangbanging shit.. Cause when I see the nigga, it'll be all different, it ain't even worth it.. I'll ask him about it.

dubcnn.com : Could we see you hookin' up with San Diego artists, such as Lil CS, Mitchy Slick, Cricet and others?

I think I've heard of Mitch.. Mitch something.

dubcnn.com : Mitchy slick is tight..

You sure? Yeah I think I know him...

dubcnn.com : Are you down with 50 Cent?

Yeah, I ain't met him personally, but I'm a fan...

dubcnn.com : He seems to be gettin' down wit the D.P.G. lately..

Yeah, we did that Whoo Kid shit. But we did it on Pro Tools, I didn't get to meet him, you know what I'm sayin'.

dubcnn.com : Can we catch the DPG touring overseas anytime soon?

I'm tryna get out in Australia so we can hit these tours, I'm tryna see what's up in August wit Pedro..

dubcnn.com : Ya'll did this Anti War song with Fred Wreck.. tell us about it!

Shit I mean I didn't really hear the whole Anti War song as we finished it..But I'm down wit Fred Wreck he knows a lot about the middle east, he's from out there, and bottom line I wasn't wit the war, I still ain't wit it, even thought we did win. I just don't agree with the ways, and Fred asked me to do the song and I was wit it!

dubcnn.com : All right that's basically it for the questions, thanks for takin' the time!

No problem man!

dubcnn.com : Aight..

Peace.
