E-40 "MY GHETTO REPORT CARD" RELEASE PARTY - Basque, H&V | (March 15th 2006)

       Dubcnn was once again among the worlds press on March 15th 2006, being some of the privileged to be invited to the Hollywood Album Release Party for E-40's latest solo release "My Ghetto Report Card." The event was as you would expect BIG, the Bay, LA, all out to support. In the building was artists including; Snoop Dogg, DJ Quik, B-Legit, Federation, Battlecat, Bosko, Chace Infiniate, DJ Muggs, Wallet, DJ Juice and many more. As ever dubcnn took time out with many of these artists and even had brief interviews with Battlecat & the man of the hour, ambassador of the Bay - E-40.

Event Report

The Bay and L.A. connected in a huge way on Wednesday March 15th, 2006 at the Basque Nightclub in Hollywood located at the famous Hollywood and Vine intersection for the Record release party for E-40's latest effort, My Ghetto Report Card. The night started with an assortment of celebrities passing through the Gold Carpet area. Notables like funnyman Katt Williams, the Savage B-Legit, Battlecat, Bosko, Rick Rock and The Federation, Bay Area artist Nump, Chace Infinite of Self Scientific, DJ Muggs, and of course, the Fonz, E-40. There was no shortage of females either. With an abundance of ladies and liquor, plus Northern Cali's DJ Juice on the ones and twos spinning the best in Bay Hip Hop, the night was destined to be fun and full of people going stupid and dumb.

Once inside, it was clearly noticed that the Bay was in the Area! Juice played songs off of 40's new record, with "Tell Me When To Go" getting a huge response. As if it wasn't a star studded event outside, inside it was packed with more celebs than you could imagine. Everyone from Snoop Dogg to DJ Quik, hell even Bobby Brown was in the building celebrating with the Ambassador of the Bay.

Others in attendance, Big Chan, Mitchy Slick, Krondon, Soopafly, DJ Vlad, Filthee of F.I.L.T.H.E.E. Immigrants, B-12, Young Hootie and Larceny Entertainment (What up Breezy, TK!), Mugzi, Turf Talk, DJ Broadway, Kaos Brought, Missippi, and countless more. The night went off without a hitch. No major scuffles, no bullsh-t, just everyone celebrating and promoting unity for the West!
