Wyze Randal Has "Beef" - November 25, 2005 By : Rud

The rest of you, attention! We are back with a new street track, "Beef," which sees Wyze Randal taking care of business over a Dr. Dre beat. Inland Empire resident Wyze Randal is still putting the finishing touches to his debut release, "Who Is Wyze Randal?" with his executive producer Embryo. Big Shouts to Black Wall Street for hitting YOUR number one West Coast news source with this Exclusive news. Sony Urban Music along with Big Ego Entertainment has signed the newest star from the West Coast, G.Malone. The same man who found superstar The Game, Former Aftermath Music A&R Exec Mike Lynn, is behind this signing. Mike Lynn, who has his own label imprint through Sony Music, just inked the Watts native's 1.7 million dollar label deal. Sony and Mike Lynn were so impressed with the grimey Watts rapper that they not only signed him as an artist, but gave him his own label imprint Blu Division.
G.Malone’s debut album The Beach Cruiser will be on Blu Division/Big Ego Entertainment/Sony Music Distribution. As stated earlier, Mike Lynn was the one who brought Multi Platinum rapper The Game to Dr. Dre’s Aftermath imprint, has now saw the same vision and the movement in G.Malone. He was so eager to sign the Watts emcee that he was willing to pony 1.7 million dollars for the deal and give G.Malone his own label imprint. G.Malone, who has been bubbling on the underground nationally, had label offers from Def Jam and The Game’s own Black Wall Street, but decided Mike Lynn and Sony saw his vision clearly for his Blu Division Movement and how he plans to shakeup the rap game.
G.Malone, who is a Black Wall Street affiliate, is still managed by G-Ride and Big Fase 100 of the Black Wall Street. G.Malone’s debut album The Beach Cruiser will be dropping in the 2nd quarter of 2006. He will be dropping the follow up to his smash mixtape White Lightning Sticks before the year is out. The Blu Division Movement is in full swing stay tuned.Discuss This Topic

"The Evolution of Robin Thicke" - Star Trak - November 15, 2005 By : JustinL

.bmp) "Robin Thicke is going to change music." - Pharrell Williams
Dubcnn was privileged to be invited to a private gathering held by Star Trak and Interscope Records Rap Department entitled the "Wanna Love You Girl" lounge which showcased artist Robin Thicke. The affair was hosted by the Vice President of the Rap Division, Kevin Black.
We have film footage of this extraordinary talent, as Robin Thicke performs songs from his upcoming album live on a grand piano. Video: "Wanna Love You Girl" lounge showcasing Robin Thicke
Music Video: "Wanna Love U Girl" Featuring Pharrell
Visit the official Robin Thicke website at www.robinthicke.com Big thanks to Echo and Echoing Soundz for inviting us to the event.
Robin Thicke's Bio One year ago Pharrell Williams asked Jimmy Iovine, CEO of Interscope, “What are you doing with Robin Thicke?” A few months later, Robin was recording his first single “Wanna Love You Girl” with Pharrell in Miami, as a newly signed artist on Pharrell’s label, Star Trak Records. This explosive, smash single immediately attracted the attention of radio and club DJs across the country.
The Evolution of Robin Thicke is the second solo album from the critically acclaimed, Grammy award winning songwriter, producer. The album is a timeless work of art. With a voice of purity, passion and soulfulness, Robin brings to life the stories and emotions of the last two years of his life. Admittedly, those two years have been a tumultuous ride of ups and downs.
The Evolution of Robin Thicke is filled with incandescent magic. It is an album that tells the tales of love, loss, temptation, redemption and finding hope when all the odds are against you. “My greatest desire with this album was to write songs that were completely honest and sing them with the emotion I was feeling when I wrote them, so that whoever listens to my music is brought as close to my experiences and life as possible.”
With this intention, Robin created songs such as, “Lost without You” (the second single). An instant classic, this song is about Robin’s insecurities and his need to be desired and loved. With sweeping vocals over rhythmic Spanish guitar, this song takes you away and makes you sing along.
On the psychedelic, “High School Man” is where Robin infuses rock and hip-hop and poetically admits “I’m a hater” as he hates on those with more success than him realizing, ironically, he just wants what they have.
Finishing off The Evolution of Robin Thicke is the hopeful and encouraging “Thank You.” On this gospel inspired, piano ballad Robin sings, “maybe I’m the one who never gets up ‘till he falls,” making the discovery that he has to be thankful for everything that comes into his life…the tears, the joy, the failures and the successes.
Always carrying a heavy heart, Robin taught himself to play piano at the age of twelve so he could have an outlet to express himself. By the age of fourteen, he could play anything he heard on the radio. At sixteen, with no formal training, Robin began professionally writing and producing music for recording artists like Brandy and Brian McKnight. Over the years he has amassed dozens of gold and platinum records with artists including Usher, Mary J. Blige, Michael Jackson and Christina Aguilera.
Reflective, redemptive, passionate and etched with a soulfulness that is undeniable, The Evolution of Robin Thicke is an imaginative and heart-felt album that you cannot help but be moved by, bob your head to and smile throughout.Discuss This Topic

Who Dat? Darcskin & Chag G From The LBC! - November 13, 2005 By : Nima

I'm sure all of you remember Chag G who I introduced to ya'll last year. The Long Beach Producer/Singer/Rapper/Video Director is no doubt talented, and is really ready to show the world what he's all about. His artist, Darcskin aka Lil Chag G is currently finishing up his debut album "Who Dat", which should be dropping real soon. Chag G produced most of the record, and sang most of the hooks, with features such as Goldie Loc, Kokane, Chucc Taylor, Bokie Loc, Ecay Uno, Quick Ta Mac and more.
Darcskin started off ghost writing for Warren G, writing songs such as "Dolla Dolla Bill" (213) and "Turn It Up Loud" (In The Mid-Nite Hour). Darcskin gives a world of props to Mr. Warren G for the opportunity, and he also shouts him out in his new video "All Dat", featuring Chag G on the hook, a verse and the beat. They are currently shopping a distribution deal, and will also be shooting 2 more videos aswell as an EPK real soon.
I have 3 tracks from the album "Who Dat" for ya'll to check out, aswell as the video to his street single "All Dat" with Chag G. The track is off the hook, one of my current favorites. Don't sleep!
Here goes the video to "All Dat":
Darcskin - All Dat (ft. Chag G) (VIDEO) 22MB, Quick Time.
Here go the tracks, all production handled by Chag G:
Darcskin - All Dat (ft. Chag G)
Darcskin - Breaks Today (ft. Chag G & Bokie Loc)
Darcskin - Who Dat
So be on the lookout for Darcskin's album "Who Dat" dropping sooner than you think. This is an independent release so make sure to support the artist, we will be providing you a link to order the album online aswell.
At the beginning of my update, I mentioned that Chag G is also a video director. He directed Darcskin's video "All Dat", and he wanted me to put the word out that if there's any artists looking to bring their projects alive, there's no better way than a video. People think that videos are expensive, but he's willing to beat any price. A video shot and edited for $1,000. If you're interested, hit up his new snop located at:
5649 Atlantic Blvd Long Beach, CA (562) 753- 5669 or Email: dakind213@yahoo.com
They also do custom T-Shirts, flyers, videos, CD Covers, posters and more.
I will be bringing you alot more Chag G material soon, lookout for a Chucc Taylor update this week with some new audio, and much more.Discuss This Topic

The Talk Of Hip Hop RapTalk.net Re-Launch - November 4, 2005 By : SGV

RapTalk.net was originally started in 1996 by a group of Bay Area Hip Hop fans. Within a matter of months, the site began to become noticed and visited by some Major Bay Area Rap Artists, the likes of Rap-A-Lot West CEO, JT The Bigga Figga, New Bay member Balance, Sacramento legend Brotha Lynch Hung and First Degree the D.E. It was the first major Online Hip Hop forum and housed the ORIGINAL Bay Area Rap Talk Forum or BART for short. Around 2001, the site went down for a long period of time. In 2002, Alberto Martinez Jr. entered and ressurected the the site and elevated the website to Promote Independent Hip Hop. He changed the focus from not just the Bay, but the entire West Coast. RapTalk.net held it's first BBQ at Lake Cunningham in San Jose on August 11th of 2003 for fans and artists alike. They established an excellent networking event. From that point on, the site continued to strive to Promote Indie Hip Hop.
Today, RapTalk.net is revamped with a whole new staff, layout and outlook. The focus has shifted from strictly West Coast to Hip Hop in general. Now, as RapTalk.net is re-launching, the site will be updated daily with News, Audio and Music Videos on a regular basis. Also, you'll be able to see some of the most EXCLUSIVE Video Interviews and Features with today's hottest stars in the Hip Hop World. Live show and event coverage will be second to none. New artists from all over the Hip Hop map will be visiting the forums with their own official forums, as well. If you liked the original RapTalk, you'll love the new and improved RapTalk.net.
But, that's not all, RapTalk is also venturing into Retail. The Official RapTalk store has changed. KingzRecords.com has been adopted as RapTalk.net's Official store. Aside from carrying your typical Mixtape catalog like most Hip Hop sites, you can pick up the latest and greatest Hip Hop and R&B Albums, Vinyl, DVDs, Magazines and Clothing. For the first week (11/4-11/13) of the Re-Launch, KingzRecords.com is offering a 20% off coupon for all our forum members, readers and visitors. And, if you're in the Los Angeles area, this sale is also valid for the KingzRecords retail location in West Covina (545 E. Vine Ave Unit B. West Covina, CA 91790).
Almost 10 years later and RapTalk.net is still running strong. It was once an elite website that died down due to the politics of the game. But, RapTalk.net is back and is here to stay. Expect a huge change in the way Hip Hop is reported on the Internet. RapTalk.net will strive to bring you, the fans, all your favorite artists, news, audio, pictures and video. And that's why RapTalk is the Talk of Hip Hop! Discuss This Topic

Planet Asia Compiles "The Medi-Cali Trilogy" - November 1, 2005 By : Rud

An MC the calibre of Planet Asia should, as i am sure you agree, find it no trouble to get a label and get records out. However as the years have panned out all Planet Asia has seemed to battle with is Major label politics and independent label incompetence. To the fans relief, all that is set to change. He now has his own company, Gold Chain Music, and strategic partners that share the vision Planet Asia provides. 2006 will see the release of "The Medi-Cali Trilogy", a three-part series from Fresno's finest and as the titles suggest this is the full "healthcare" package.
The first installment, "The Sickness," features production by Khalil, Jake One, D-Cyde, & Amp Live with guest appearances from Moka Only, Rasco, Flii Stylz, Mitchy Slick & Killa Ben. Part two, "The Diagnosis," sees Planet Asia hooking up with the West Coast Mixtape King and good friend of dubcnn, DJ Warrior, who has been putting out nonstop heat for the past few years. The final piece of the puzzle and what you've all been waiting for, "The Medicine," is produced by Evidence and features Black Thought, Prodigy, Strong Arm Steady, Dilated Peoples, Defari, Babu, Revolution, and Shake Da Mayor.
So if you have felt starved of Planet Asia over recent years then look for these releases in 2006 to more than satisfy your appetite, as ever we will have more news and audio soon!Discuss This Topic
