Gretzky caught in wiretap discussing gambling

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -- Wayne Gretzky was recorded on a wiretap talking to the alleged financier of a gambling ring, discussing how the hockey great's wife could avoid being mplicated, a person with knowledge of the investigation told The Associated Press on Thursday.

alright im a lil confused about this whole thing...which is "Operation Slap Shot" I know it has something to do with the assistant coach of the Coyoties gambling or soemtihgn, could explain exactly wat has happened?

yeah this is a big deal to the government and all, but this is a lame story

the people involved didn't even bet on hockey, so it's not a Pete Rose situation

and who the fuck hasn't gambled on football and basketball games and shit? 

the way I see it some people broke some weenie law of not gambling, no one did anything bad or wrong here
