Is Nas is confused, Muslim/Christian/5%(Check it)

Yo.... Nas is one of my favorite rappers in the game, and he's an ill cat, I like the way he carries himself in interviews... But dude is either confused, or trying to please everybody at once.  Check this.  On his new album he.

1.  In the liner notes, he wears a crucifix (Christian) and simultaneously controdicts himself, knealing, sittin on his back legs, with his arms out shoulder length, the same exact way Muslims (Islam) pray at the end of our prayers.

2.  Track 4, Smokin, he says.... Arabic at the beggining, and I'm still not very good at interpretting Arabic, but I know he is saying an Islamic prayer, and I believe it is...."There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is his last messenger and prophet."  And he dedicates the song to the "Gods and the Earths" wich is a 5% thing.  Earths = Women... God = The earths first people.

3.  On One Mic.  He says "One God."  Which is the foundation of Islam.  One God, then he says, "Tell me how to do things his son did.  Muslims don't refer to Jesus as the son of God.

I've been talkin' with people about this alot. I came to the conclusion that he is just pleasing everybody and respects all three of those beliefs.

I wonder if he has ever addressed that in one of his interviews?

i think your interpreting  that   "ONE GOD"      thing      the   wrong way .  

I  believe in   Jesus     so  to me      Jesus   is   my    "ONE GOD".    

Just like a     buddhist would say    buddha  is    their   "ONE GOD".        

thats a little too much  to    single out  Islam as the only   folks who  can     live by that   ONE  GOD      thing .

see in my religon we had like 9 gurus/Prophets   ... they never called themselvs God, or Sons Of God ... they did how ever say they were sent by god to preach about him etc ... kinda like Prophet Mohamed [p.b.u.h] of Islam... so we do belive in ONE GOD ... and not the Gurus/Prophets themselvs to be God.

Bout Nas mentioning diffrent things in his Rap...maby he jus belives in everything?? or is trying to show respect to diffrent religons, cultures etc... shit i dunno, he should be asked that in an Interview...peace...one

Word yeah.... I heard they asked Ghandi what religion he was and he said, "Muslim, Jew, Christian, Sik, Hindu" etc., something like that... but it could be misinformation.

And about Christians saying One God.  What about the Holy Trinity?  That represents God in three.  The Father, the son, the holy ghost. Especially if your Catholic and praying to Mary. Islam believes that God (Allah) is all and all is him, everything is him, for he is the creator, so anything within his creation is him, and we all come back to him.   And in our prayer rituals we say, God is one, Infinite being, he begetteth not, nor is he begotten, and there is no like unto him.  And we unite under the unity of One God.

christians believe in only one god, the trinity, The Father: is god, the son: is jesus who IS the same god, the holy spirit; who is also the SAME god. Jesus isn't literally the son of god he's the same god, the term 'the son' is just a metaphore kine for is love of us "for god gave his only begotten son" its just saying that god loves us so much that he'd send his only son (which was the most pecious 'possesion' back then) to die for humanity.... jesus is the same god. think of the trinity like an egg , it's got three different parts the shell, the white , and the yolk, they all serve a different purpose but are one...an egg

catholics don't beleive in mary to be a god, they just consider her to be a high saint ....and in catholic religion they pray to the saints to have them talk to god and help their prayers get answered.... i'm not a catholic no more becuase they believe in a lot of loony stuff that's not even in the bible...but they beleivein only one god too





about nas, like someone already said, he doesnt have a religion, he just pieces shit together from all religions to form his own

yeah I think Nas has respect for all religions and such, if you notice unlike many rappers, he keeps it real and raps about interesting topics and everything, either way hes tight as fuck
