nah thats not a foolish thing.. but its not guaranteed. and has only been the last few months. no idea how long it will last. i still paid roughly that amount for four years before the raptalk deal came up.. (thx to big june @ raptalk for that).. so in a way its still a long way from even. any extra money would go towards a new layout being commissioned. on top of hosting bills i also paid for this layout to be custom designed and i also pay a subscription for 'premium' level support for the forum.

and yeah.. dubcnn/dubcnm have been more problematic than the forum of late (which has been a nightmare in the past) and getting worse... rud's looking into things..

I just made another major change to the server config...  (since the support people didnt get back to me)

The speed seems to fluctuate a lot for me. It's just before 09:00 GMT now, and the page loads vary from 0.6 seconds all the way to 91.909 seconds. All page loads took 15 to 20 queries. There's about 40 people online, 20 members and 20 guests. I didn't see any doing searches when I checked on what they were doing. Posting a message takes a long ass time. Might be that making entries to the MySQL database is hella slow?

Also, you've got buttons at the bottom of each page saying the site uses valid XHTML and CSS, when neither is actually valid. You ought to remove them or fix the markup.

yeah its all over the place. its only related to some small 'update' queries made when u navigate (last online, hits etc) which doesnt make sense.. the actual reads are blazingly fast.. i dont know why its started being slow writing.. i just ran a checker over the database and it seems to have picked up.. but its not perfect
