Since every1 thinks snoop is a legend which i agree wit,  r these rappers also legends to.

Daz an Kurupt-  They have one classic album plus classic work on there early stuff.  Kurupt acheived moderate sucess as a solo artist wit tha near classic tha streetz but space boogie an kuruption both got mixed reviews.  An since 98 daz has been forgotten about except to us westcoast fans
Mobb Deep-  2 classic albums,  tha infamous an hell on earth,  snoop only has one.
Wu-  Tang-  One classic album an plus 2 classic albums from wu members
Nas-  One classic,  helped put tha east back on tha map,  proclaimed next rakim.  Has 2 other near classic albums,  IWW an stillmatic
Bone thugs-n-harmony-  One definite classic,  an i personally think creepin is a classic an AOW is slept on.  Tha 1st rappers from tha mid-west to be accepted by rap an tha main stream
eminem-  He hasnt dropped a classic even though his sslp an mmlp are 4.5 mic albums,  made it acceptable to be white an rap, i dont think he would be a legend unless he drops a certified classic

I would say that when all of their careers are over.. and people have a chance to reflect on how much work was put in over the years.. they will all be considered classics.

I agree with all except Daz and Kurupt unfortunatly.  (Most wouldn't expect that from me.. but its TRU)  They would really have to put in some more classic work before being considered classic musically.

No doubt, they will be considered classic regardless, due to the amout of controversy that has surrounded them.  But for them to be considered musical classics.. they are gonna have to get things right and drop a few more classic albums.  IMO.

All others (listed above) have succeeded beyond, what Im sure they would have ever expected too.

Overseer,

Do I really need to go there with this WS jerk?  Or are you gonna handle this?  I'll keep my cool and let you "Po. .Po" do the dirty work.  This guys just tryin to start something.  He aint for real.  I simply refuse to entertain this jerk.  Thanks. Pz.
Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure..

In all honesty, I dont consider Snoop a legend. However, I do think he will alwayz have respect to a degree, just for what he did with Doggystyle. Doggystyle was the first true rap album that REALLY brought the white audience into hip hop. This might be the most well known rap album of all time, im surprised its not the best selling one cuz everyone I know who likes rap has it.

Wu Tang will go into the hall of fame as one of the greatest groups ever, as will Tribe, Public Enemy, Bone, Outkast, and Gang Starr. Mobb Deep isnt quite on the same level as the previously mentioned groups, but they have put out some damn good music.

Nas is already A Legend, with two classic albums, one very strong album, and an unlimited amount of guest appearances.

Eminem put out a good album with the SSLP, but I hated the MMLP.........he has a long way to go before he can be considered a legend.

I don't see how u can not consider Snoop Dogg a Legend? but i think that Snoop Dogg is a ceritified legend in the rap game and should go into the hall of fame fo sho,he is also the GOAT IMO and not only cuz he put out doggystyle but also becuase he had other good albums as well that just werent' classic but were still good.

Wu Tang- They are legends as well

Nas- I know some peeps r gonna hate but id on't consider him a legend he had one classic album n then he put out like 3 complete bullshit albumsm, i knwo some peeps are gonna bitch and say yeah snoop did the same thing but IMO snoops album were still decent to good nas' were just straight up garbage besides stillmatic, so i do not consider nas a legend.

Eminem- hahahahaha okay? thats pretty funny? this guy is just a fad and i dont' think he will ever pull off a classic album so therefore he will NEVER be a legend in the rap game.

than mobb deep r jus as much legends as snoop than b/c mobb deep has 2 classic to snoops one classic.  I dont see how one classic album 3 good albums (nutin special about them though except top dogg b/c that resurectted his career but besides that nutin else) an one completly shitty album make u tha GOAT.

The biggest legend is 2Pac, no doubt. He is not only a hip hop legend, but a musical legend period. Right up there with Bob Marley, Jimmy Hendrix, John Lennon, etc etc.........

Legends in my eyes are,

WU TANG CLAN
DR DRE
ICE CUBE
LL COOL J
SNOOP DOGG

These guys have been in the rap game long and still produce wonders, they know how to change with the times

Say what you want, but with JAY-Z's exposure he to will become a legend

I think that it's impossible to call a rapper a legend for the simple fact that the target of gangsta rappers is very particular. And that usually they dont have good relationships with media and journals etc.. And they dont live like stars (well.. i am not talking about Jay-Z and Eminem. I'm talking in general).

If we talk in general, a "legend" is someone who is great even if you dont like him. That shocked millions of peoples. That made classic music for years and years!

If I think about the words "music" and "legend".. i see other names after them. I see Pink Floyd, Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Elvis, Bob Marley, B.B. King, Bee Gees, Luis Armstrong, Madonna, etc..

In my opinion the only rap legend is 2Pac. The others are great rappers/producers maybe. But nobody got half of the fame and the charisma of 2Pac, trust me. Neither Dr. Dre & co.

2Pac is a legend for the fact that he died. That he is considered like a Black God for a lot of young men. I was been in London last year and he's like a God there too! Maybe when guys sell t-shirts with his face on it, they dont know who the fuck 2Pac is, but.. he's still there! Next to Bob Marley and Che. You know what i mean?

2Pac is the only rap legend. The others are just great artists. Not legends. But.... this is just my opinion.

Oh.. BTW if you change the topic to "R these people RAP legends?" then my answer is: OF COURSE! If you like them, they are YOUR legends! It's strictly personal.
