1992 "chronic" - 1999 "chronic 2001" - 2006 "detox" ?...
« on: February 23, 2006, 07:05:30 PM »
is dre's detox album comin out this year?...
if it ends up getting postponed this year, i have my doubts it'll come out.
he's too busy workin on his artists on his label, and i think whenever he maes some hot beat, he eventually gives it to one of his artists to put on their album, so he never ends up with anything, which means album never can be done, which means album will never come out.
thats unless i'm wrong, and i hope i'm wrong.

what's your thoughts.....

I hope Detox gets released this year, we've been waiting for too long...

Its useless to keep making threads about this. Nobody knows when it comes out except dre. So the rest is only speculation. We just have to wait and see.

1992, 1999, 2006!
Everybody thinks that. I think even Dre was planning to release it in 2006, but I don't think it will happen. In the worst case it won't be released ever.

It might come out in November or December, if it comes out this year. You never can tell. Though that sort of "an album every 7 years" continuity would be cool. But Dre sill sure take his time with it; We've been talking about Detox for years now, perfection is expected and Dre's feelin' that demand.

Aren't they working on it RIGHT NOW? I don't think Dre is working on any other projects anyway, except for working with Game a little but I bet he'll give Game a lot of freedom for his 2nd album. He should have enough time to work on Detox now.

Yes, I do believe it will come out by the end of the year.

INTERVIEW: January 13th, 2006

"Aftermathmusic.com:
Fans are eagerly anticipating your Aftermath debut. What can you tell us about your album, and how it’s coming along?

Bishop Lamont:
Be patient because it’ll be well worth the wait because we’re doing DETOX and my album simultaneously. It’s like fine wine; ha-ha… it’s going to be crazy! It’s about rebellion, revolution, the positive and negative things in life and organized chaos.

"Aftermathmusic.com:
Dr. Dre’s final solo album ‘DETOX’ is easily one of the most anticipated albums of the decade. Have you been fortunate enough to record any vocals for that project?

Bishop Lamont:
Yeah we’ve been working on the intro Record and a few other joints for Dre. We’re just getting started.

Aftermathmusic.com:
How is ‘DETOX’ coming along? Has Dre let you hear some of what he’s done, or is it heavily guarded under lock and key?

Bishop Lamont:
It’s heavily guarded, but at the same time he’ll play some beats for me that he has ideas for. But it’s like area 51 over there, ha-ha."
