every rapper is a hypocrit. They all talk about killing and guns, but when someone close really got shot, they tell us to unite. I'm not saying it's bad to unite but if a rapper really holds on to that point, they shouldn't be making albums about killing people. Thing is, voilence sells more than peace

That's the truth right there.

What people get it twisted is they "confuse hip-hop with real life when the music stops." What's on record is entertainment, pure and simple. What's out there in the streets is the real shit.

I remember reading a Knoc-Turn'al interview where he said every rapper is an actor. "When I go to the studio, I act as Knoc-Turn'al, when Calvin goes to the studio he acts as Snoop Dogg." Something on those lines.

But what happened to Proof didn't happen in any studio, and Snoop and anybody else is right to call for peace.

well Snoop's been speaking of unity for awhile now (Proofs death aside) about the westcoast and how rappers need to stop beefing and make music together.  Snoops really been doing alot for the westcoast lately by trying to unite everyone and put the westcoast all on the same page.  I see what you  guys mean about how people only act like this after someone dies but I always kinda saw Snoop as a "peace maker" kinda dude.....At least Snoop is trying to make his voice heard anyways......would you rather him not care?  or not say anything at all?
