Hmm, Daz don't seem as amped for "So So Gangsta" as he has been in the past. He didn't really elaborate on the sound of that album. I hope it won't be wack "pop" material, although all of the songs I've heard so far have been flames so I'll put the doubts aside for now. "Cali Iz Active" sounds really good though, and hopefully Snoop's done a good job overseeing the project.

Kurupt gave some great, mature answers, and there were some classic, comedy Daz responses too. Besides the 50 Cent answer, check this one:

Daz:  Oh it's doing cool. You know we're just trying to put the team together. That's  what it's about. It's like the new parts, and it's about what we do. We set the  trends. I don't give a fuck about anybody else or how they think or feel. They  can go home and take they shit and I'ma go home and take my shit. Do I got some  good toilet paper or do you got some good toilet paper? That's all that counts.  I don't really care what people say. They can say this and this, they got it.  I got the money in my pocket, it's called hustlin. I don't care what anybody says,  this album don't sounds like this, that album don't sound like that. I don't give  a fuck, it's still Daz and Kurupt. If you wanna buy that album, I got another  one that you can go buy and see if it sounds like that one. Everybody wanna say  this and this, but shit... I don't see nobody in the studio making no good shit.  As far as the fans, shit they can't pay they own fucking bills, they got cell  phone bills to pay (laughs).

Good questions Jay.  Kurupt really seems like he's got his head screwed on tight these days.  I hope Daz follows suit.  I still say Daz should try some stand-up.  He's fuckin hilarious.

But like Kurupt said, I'm not gonna pass any judgment until I hear the album.  After years of hype and bullshit, my patience has really worn thin.  If its dope, I'm coppin.  If it ain't to my liking then I'm not gonna support it.  My initial reaction is that I'm less than pumped to hear Swizz and Puffy on the album.  But I'll give it a chance.

I will say that right now, I'd pick up Kurupts solo sight unseen (unheard actually).  3 w/ Fred and 3 w/ Mel Man .  You know that will be dope.
