Author Topic: Did Mobb Deep "Put Em In Their Place" completely bite Keak Da Sneak "Bumpers"?  (Read 474 times)

The "Put Em In Their Place" melody sounds almost the same as "Bumpers and Rear Ends". Is it from a mutual Sample or did Sha Money XL just bite an independent song and think no one would know?

I've never heard "Bumpers and Rear Ends", but I would guess it's a mutual sample.

It's kinda like how when Nas came out with "Just A Moment" and the immediate reaction on DubCC was, "He ripped off Jayo Felony's 'Sherm Sticc 101'!"  And someone else reminded those fools that the only reason for that was because they both sampled Chic's "Will You Cry (When You Hear This Song?"

^^^hes sounds like the cookie monster but suprisingly dope 8)

I think they just both sampled the same song, or that Keak song might be a mixtape track over the Mobb beat

I can see a similarity, but I definitely don't think it's a jack.

you gotta hear more of his songs, hes got alot of good beats, even tho it sounds like he needs some cough syrup or something, he stilll flows really well with his songs, listen to Keak Da Sneak - Thats My Word. the beat is off the hook   8)
