THE REVENGE OF OLD SCHOOL!
« on: February 05, 2002, 06:30:23 AM »
I miss the times when rap was something ghetto. Was a way black men had to communicate the life inside a ghetto. To bring attention to their problems.. I miss Eazy Muthafucking E. I miss 2Pac.

Shit.

Just see what the rap game is now..

Snoop working with Kokane (who? the same who dissed the fuck outta him and DPG?)

Snoop working with P.Diddy (who? the same one he dissed with his "friend" Pac?)

Snoop Dogg on No Limit Records? (damn! i know he's out now, but.. DAMN!)

Daz Dillinger being like the boyfriend of Lil Eazy E (who? the kid of the man that he dissed badly 10 years ago?)

Daz Dillinger on Bad Boy Records? (shit)

Kurupt on Tha Row?

Dre dissing Eazy E and then making him tribute tracks?

I dont wanna talk about East Coast cause i care about the West, but damn.. where are we going? I think this will be the end of the rap game in the west..

Guys aint buying CDs no more, cause the quality is BS (nothing compared to the 1985-1995 era), rappers got 0 credibility.. shit! Talking about guns and gangsta shit when Snoop is about to sell his car for 80,000$..

And what about Snoop, Eminem, Kurupt & Dre making movies? Shit.. Even Napolean of the Outlawz. Damn! And now they are all making DVD's. All directors! All actors!

The only one who can act is Cube (and 2Pac! RIP)..

The others looks like Will Smith now. But at least Smith can act! :(

SHIT! Sorry for this post, but this is how i feel now.. i miss this Old School shit.. i miss Pac. Eazy. FUCK THOSE BITCHES who are USING rap to make money, and not to talk about real shit.

Just listen to Fabulous. Damn! Or Knock. Ok, maybe they can make 2-3 good rhymes, but.. damn! Now listen to the MC Ren & Ice Cube track in the new D.O.C. album. And compare em. We aint going nowhere! Old School is still better.

R.I.P. GANGSTA RAP! Born with Eazy E, died with 2PAC.

MC REN, ICE CUBE, YELLA, 2PAC, EAZY E, D.O.C. = real!

SNOOP, KURUPT, DAZ, etc.. = fakers!

tho i dont agrree wit erything you say i gotta say that some points are very true.. for example that shit bout peoplejuss gettin into rap coz of the money... jus look at it.. most of the people who got a nelly, fabolous or ja rule cd in their room, got a britney spears or craig david cd too... they arent rap fans. they juss listen to whats hyped in the charts... and to be real, the rappers want to make money with their music man! so that is why they do alotta commercial songs... some juss dont wannt to do commercial trax, best example is mc ren who stayed underground and still is... and daz is underground too man! why do you call daz, kurupt etc fake? i would understand you at one point, and that is that daz first dissed the shit outta kurupt and now talks bout signin to bad boy. but ya'll have seen how fastly daz changed his mind in the last times lol so his word is nuthin to rely on... kurupt went back for money. BUT he was always cool wit suge. even if he was on dogghouse in yo mouth (which is pretty contradicitve i know but fuck it lol)... the more i think about it, the more i see that in what you say alot is true, even if i dont want it to be true....
but you cant count eazy wit cube and ren and say they staid true coz eazy died (RIP) so he didnt even got the chance to stay true or go pop.. tho i could neva imagine eazy turnin pop...........
for your point bout dre dissin eazy and now makin tribute tracks is very clear: he dissed him, but when eazy died he was shocke and he realized what a big mistake it was to beef with a childhood friend.... so this is why he makes tribute friends! oh and dazs beef wit eazy was pretty stupid too coz that was coz eazy dissed deathrow so they dissed back... and i dont think daz is lil e's "boyfriend".. he juss found lil e tight and didnt want him to fade away so he took him in his own hands and is now handlin his businness (i kno he isnt a good business man lmao)...
snoop on no limit? why not? he had to get aaway from deathrow and p showed him how to handle business!
snoop workin wit diddy? pacs beefs is pacs beefs.... and Today is a whole diff world than 7 years ago... snoop has got no reason to diss puff now.... snoop and kokane? some people like it, some dont...... im not a fan of kane but he CAN come tight on some hooks... tho i recon he been wayyyyyyy overused!!!

anyway the only point i cant understand is daz n bad boy...

but it is undisputable that gangsta rap like it existed in the early 90s is dead. and will never be back....
and what u got against knoc? juss coz he aint ghetto? his music is tight .. and he hasnt done 2 or three tracks i have heard over seven tracks now and all have been good so far! so why not? he isnt a "gangsta" so what?

lol and everrybody doin dvds now is pretty funny haha... damn even c-bo is doin one now.. and mack 10, wc etc.. lmao

i guess snoops sentence from tha doggfather isnt true anymore:
this is dedicated to the niggaz that said gangsta rap is dead... FUCK YA'LL.......

"Talking about guns and gangsta shit when Snoop is about to sell his car for 80,000$.." ::)  ::) What does it mean?
Snoop has bought that car!

"Snoop working with Kokane (who? the same who dissed the fuck outta him and DPG?) "

"Snoop working with P.Diddy (who? the same one he dissed with his "friend" Pac?) "

"Snoop Dogg on No Limit Records? (damn! i know he's out now, but.. DAMN!) "

this is funny, considering you were all over Lil Jay'z nuts for that new Snoop song and Snoop Dogg is in the pic in your profile and you have quotes describing Snoop Dogg in your sig.  Antonio on Snoop's nuts?  like the Ice Cube song, "Check yo self".

back to the topic, I agree with Antonio to a point.  Although the ridiculous amount of collabo's with Kokane has brought Snoop's music down a notch, people move on.  Look at The Outlawz.  They squashed their beef with Mobb Deep and have less anger towards Puffy than in the past.  The deaths of Eazy and Pac probably showed rappers how what they say can come back to haunt them, which is why most of the former beefs you mentioned have been squased.  Snoop and Puffy never had direct beef with each other.  Snoop betrayed Pac in NYC when he said he'd do a song with Puffy or Biggie.

Point is, people grow older and mature a little more (with the exception of Daz who seems not to know what the fuck he's doing in life.  Watch, next week he'll be trying to sign with Cash $) and realize the consequences of beefing.

The 1985-1995 Era was good, But nothing lasts homie, I don't think the end of the rap game in the west is near, The fact is people age......soon a new generation will emerge representing the west to the fullest (not reffering to lil bow wow!!)... I think the game'll just get bigger  ;)!!!

One Love

i don't get this

(i'm not saying kurupt is) but if snoop betrayed pac becusae of that, then how is kurupt NOT a backstabber for workng with deathrow now all of the sudden

answer: neither, snoop never betrayed pac, he was cool with all party's....same with kurupt

don't say hypocritical things like that

and antonio....TIMES CHANGE and SO SHOULD YOU to quote nas "always forward never backwords"
