I remember this being mentioned a few weeks back and peeps were saying that Priority was suing Layzie, but if it's Snoop himself then he's being bitchmade. It's a form a respect to sample Snoop's ideas and he pays him back by suing him? That aint cool.

Hey, BigBpG, obviously your trying to sound like you know something, trying to crush untrue rumours with more untrue rumours.

I made that up awhile back at www.shootemup.net (the ultimate bone board) to fuck around with the 'bone nerds' there. It is 100% not true and i would like this rumour to stop going around. I also find it funny that cyberrap.net posted this story on the website, changed around some of the information I wrote, then the next day posted that they do not update alot because they rely on 100% exclusive "shit", and not rumours. Whatever, I emailed the webmasters of that page and still haven't gotten a response. You want to see the original post I made and then look at cyberrap.net's pathetic attempt to make it sound 'proffesional', then here you go. It was not posted a year ago, it's still in the archives of the UBB. (the song itself was not even released until March 20, 2001).

"In rap today, with literally thousands of releases each year, there's bound to be some copyright infrigements to be un-noticed. Well this one's a late bloomer, as the song has been released for over 7 months (March 20th, 2001). Platinum rapper Snoop Dogg has filed suit against Layzie Bone for copyright infrigement the over use of lyrics from Snoop's song "You Got Beef" which also contains rappers Tha Eastsidaz and Jayo Felony. Layzie Bone used elements, illegaly, of the song on his song "Battlefield" (From Thug By Nature), stating "If you got beef with B-O-N-E, then holler at me, Lil' Layzie", which is sung in tune and contains several similar words to Snoop Dogg and Tha Eastsidaz hit song. Apparently, Layzie Bone thought it would be allright to use elements of the song since Snoop Dogg was good friends with him (they have collobarated several times), but Snoop Dogg didn't feel the same way. This isn't the first time Snoop has sued rappers for stealing his lyrics. Earlier this year he filed suit against Nas, a Queensbridge rapper, for inproper use of Snoop's hit 1994 song "Gin N Juice", on Nas's comeback hit "Oochie Wally". Snoop is not suing for a large amount because (1) The song was not released as a single from "Thug By Nature" and (2) at press time, only 215,000 copies of the album had been sold.

The lawsuit is scheduled to go on trial in December, but sources say it may be settled out of court by the two rappers.
