teecee's top 6 of the week...post yours!!!!!
« on: January 26, 2002, 05:00:23 PM »
Yo guys, forgot to do this yesterday, i guess cuz there hasn't  been many dope songs out lately.  Some dope shit i am feeling right now, like....

1. Doorags- Nas (this joint is too nice, you gott alistne to it if you haven't.....as good as anything on Stillmatic)

2. Concrete Schoolyard- Jurassic 5 (A dope feelgood cut by J5, a classic track)

3. Juicy (pete Rock rmx)- Biggie (a nioce rmx, same beat almost except for some harder drums which give the song less of a pop feel...very nice, as was the original)

4. Special Delivery rmx- G-Dep ft. Keith Murray, Ghostface, and Craig Mack (not like any of you will care, but this is big to me because of the return of Craig Mack.  As Puff says in the song "Since it's the remix'i gotta bring back/my man Craig Mack)

5. Watch Out- Knoc ft. hittman (dope track, can't w8 to hear the whole thing, Knoc's album is shaping up nicely)

6. Show Me Love- Coolio (off of last years unreleased Coolio.com, this is a damn nice track ya'll...same sample as G'z Up, Hoes DOwn, so can't it be dope)

1. Tribeca ft. Pharoahe Monch - The Life
Geez, what a chorus by Pharoahe, sounds like Alchemist on the beat, but not sure, some sampling on there. Damn this is pure hiphop, Tribeca comes nice on here as well, anybody know anything 'bout him?

2. Eastsidaz - The final outcome
Damn, nice beat and both TrayC & Goldie comes nice here. "Fuck a suit, give me some Stacey Adams and Khakis."

3. The Coup - 5 million ways to kill a CEO
Damn, I always knew 'bout the Coup, but I slept for a while.

4. Phats Bossi - Through the rain
Classic Dr.Dre-beat, excellent chorus. I've been bumping this for weeks.

5. Roscoe ft. Bad Azz - Matrix
NICE, who did the beat yall? Kinda hi-tech innovative beat.

6. Kool G Rap ft. Snoop & Devin - Keep goin'
Shit maiin, Devin always surprises me, he reminds of Knoc-Turnal; can do both a verse & a chorus.

1. Craig David feat. Mos Def - 7 Days remix
Primo laced this exellent remix which improves heavily on the original. Lively and soulful. Can't nobody fade the Works of Mart.

2. Royce Da 5'9'' feat. Eminem - Rock City
Just discovered this. I love this Royce song w/Eminem singing the chorus.

3. Common feat. Bilal - The 6th Sense
I said it before, the definition of hip-hop music. Another muscially fusioned Primo beat, and it's exellent. Common shines with fantastic lyricism.

4. Nas - Nas Is Like
I just can't stop bumping this. I swear the best hip-hop beat ever is used on this track, produced by the G.O.A.T., of course.

5. Ice Cube - In The Late Night Hour
Don't sleep on this. The Neptunes beat is exellent and catchy.
Cube comes out great with aggressive lyricism.

6. Royce Da 5'9'' - Boom
Another revolutionary beat, by the god Premier. Even Royce gives him props.

The Trackmasters produced it. The whole album is going to be produced by R. Kelly or the Trackmasters.

Probably in april 2002. I too anticipate it heavily. If you've heard "Tha Squeeze", (from the Training Day OST) that's an indication of what to expect.

Yeah, Tha Squeeze is gold. Guru comes off nice as usual, he should be in more colabos.
