Daz didnt ruin the album IMO.....Daz and Snoop both sounded dope, its just that on some of the songs Kurupt sucks.  I think he almost spit the same wack verse on like 10 tracks on it....I thought the album was pretty dope at first, but not that great now.  It woulda been better if it was a Daz/Snoop album.  I think Snoop just did this one for the homies and I guarantee Daz new solo will shit all over Kurupts solo.

  Well no, but even Elton John and Liberace probably would have been better than Paul Wall, P-Diddy, and David Banner. Ice Cube's on it, which should have been good, but all he did was spit a hook--no verse (then again, maybe Cube knew how this CD was going to turn out, and figured wasting a whole verse on it wouldn't be worth the effort)!

But yeah, Daz and Kurupt are shadows of what they once were, lyrically (especially Kurupt) and flow-wise. I don't expect those two to make another CD exactly like DOGG FOOD, so it's not a matter of being stuck in the past for me. It's just that this whole business of them fooling people by acting like this is gonna be some kind of "real West Coast CD" and then coming out w/ just another mainstream-y clubbish disco-ducky CD is kind of deceptive. I have no objection to D&K using different producers if they want, but couldn't they have chosen better beats than they did? Hell, as much shit as Cube got on this board and elsewhere for some of the production on LAUGH NOW, CRY LATER...I thought his beats were way better-chosen overall than the ones for CALI IS ACTIVE. Just hope Snoop sounds as good on his solo as he does here...
