I had this Warren G album before it was released too, but shit... I always give it up for an aritst, but seriously this is a come back... I mean shit... look at hip hop today, people crown Jay-Z the King, Nelly the Queen and Lil Bow Wow the Prince. Then you see folks like Warren G... who put out music for the love of creativity and artistic expression. However, they dont get any credit. People like Jermaine Dupri do, people who using their image to sell. I remember looking at Jermaine Dupri's album and seeing track titles like "Welcome to Atlanta" and "ballin out of control" and "money, hoes, and power" and thinking.... shit.... these folks never knew about money hoes and power until they were given a chance in the rap game, now they make money off it... you see Warren G, with a classic, and I mean classic westcoast album and you see it not even past Fabulous's album "ghetto fabulous" ... I think... damn, where is the rap game... it's in the people who represent it... you see more Nelly on TV than you see Mos Def, you see more Lil Romeo than you see Common, you see more of all the riches than you see of the artistic... it's sick... I would pick Return of the Regulator over any of the top selling albums this year and that goes for Stillmatic... nas brought a conscious on stillmatic, but his music wasn't my style... jay-z brought back the 70's, but Warren g brought back the g-funk... not even nate dogg did that... props to warren, but it seems like people are more worried about the next beef between Nas and JayZ...The Power is in the Media-Big BpG

He may be putting out music for the love of creativity & artistic expression, he is very creative producer, but at the same time a very marginal lyricist. And both are releasing albums both for money & love for the music. So you can't really say he's no better than JD. But I agree it's a shame he hasn't got more attention...

No offence, but.. if u burn his cds like u said (with all the particulars! lol!).. how can he have "attention"? U just robbed him. And that's a fact. I understand if u burn a compilation, or a soundtrack.. or an album of a guy u dont like just cause there's a track of your fav rapper in it. Like if u burn a Babyface album just cause there's a track of Snoop in it. It's ok. But to burn a whole CD of Warren G? Mmmmm.. Or to suggest other guys to burn it without even considering to buy it... that's stupid! Sorry if i'm so explicit. PLUS! Like Pac said, a rapper doesnt rap for you, or your pleasure. I dont even think he make music for HIS pleasure. Not always. He raps to live, to make money. If u burn his cds, it's like if you are robbing him. U know what i mean? U like the rapper? Spend 14$ and buy his cd. You cant write: "it's a shame that.." when u are the first to robb him.
Yeah, yeah, but you can't fade my new year's resolution. In 2001 I was buying like 3 cd's a week, I decided to save money and also get them easier & faster by downloading and burning albums. I have paid my dues, and speaking of dues, you are due to give me Warren's first album.
u aint really a fan if u have copyied cd's.....U r just ripping them off!
