YUKMOUTH THUGGED OUT - THE ALBULATION 01/19/06 VIRGIN / RAP-A-LOT G ALBUM SOLO Std

Yuk did go gold with that Thugged Out album, but with Cube Go To Church just premiered on MTV today so I expect his numbers to start creepin back up. The days of artists going gold and platinum in a week are almost gone, so you need 2-3 strong singles for your album to sell. I think Cube knows this and I see this album doing some good numbers.

what are you talking about...he's only 3 weeks in..and already more than half way there....he will sell more than YUK when the final numbers are tallied....and hew was away from rap for six years....leaving us with the peace album...which was a piece of shit....

What you all have to understand in the scheme of things is that this is an independant record and he's still doing major #'s If you look he's not to far behind Busta and to sale this many albums on an indie is amazing. Ice cube just made in 3 wks what most of these rappers will touch which in very likely there whole careers. What we have to understand to is that he is keeping most of the money and unless he has signed a publishing deal to another company he's keeping all of his publishing too which equals alot of bread. Its not about how many you sell but about how much you make off of what you sell. If he goes gold he has reached a major accomplishment. Most rappers signed to majors dont even get to keep all of their publishing. Cube is a hella smart ass Nicca man. He peeped Game in the beginning and ran with it. That niccas been making money for along time now __Without Dre. that niccas a smart man.

and once again Yuk didnt do those #' s in 3 weeks. People dont understand no one used to judge albums by the 1st weeks sales. Niccas kill me now adays with, :they only sold 180k first week the album flopped". Nah man wait 6 months to a year and see if they goes platinum like Lil John and them. cube doing 250k in his first months sales on and indie right behind Busta Rhymes who's on the biggest label in hip hop with Dre in his corner........thats amazing. look deeper than the surface people.

Gold would be a huge thing with Cube being independent. Thats like 2 and a half to 4 million dollars in cubes pocket depending on the price of the CD. I'm gonna get it.
