Devean George is most likely signing with another team...He wants more money than the Lakers can offer...PeACe

Smush Parker sucks.  I didn't get to watch him all year but in the playoffs I saw the other team leaving him wide open for jumpers and just waiting for the rebounds, the guy sucks at shooting, at best he's a streaky, inconsistent shooter, at worst he deserves to be playing for And1.

LOL...You can't comment on him at his best, since you only saw him in the playoffs, which was him at his absolute worst...He performed horribly in the playoffs, but fared well in the regular season, and actually gave Laker fans way more than what they expected...He's a good spot up shooter (45% FG, 37% 3FG), he just needs to work on creating shots for himself off the dribble and strengthen his man defense...He'll definitely be better next year with some more experience under his belt...PeACe

No way man...  Remember you heard it from me... This guy will be out of the league in 3-5 years, I don't even think they'll accept him in Europe.  He'll be playing for AND1.

It's a done deal...

Lakers Add Guard Shammond Williams to Mix
Broderick Turner
By BRODERICK TURNER
The Press-Enterprise

LONG BEACH - Shammond Williams, who has been out of the NBA for the past two seasons, has agreed to a one-year contract to join the Lakers.

Williams' agent, Bill Duffy, said his client will sign for the biannual exception of $1.75 million today.

Duffy said the holdup had been working out a deal to buy Williams out of a contract with his old team in Spain, which Duffy said is "pretty much done."

Williams, a 6-foot guard who is best known as a shooter more than a "true" point guard, is the second free agent with whom the Lakers have agreed to a contract.

Vladimir Radmanovic agreed on July 1 to the mid-level exception that will pay him about $29 million over five years. Radmanovic, who played for the Clippers last season, will sign his contract today, the first official day free agents can sign. Radmanovic, a 6-10 forward known for his outside shooting, will be introduced at a news conference today.

PG Smush Parker...Jordan Farmar/Shammond Williams
SG Kobe Bryant...Sasha Vujacic/???
SF Vladamir Radmanovic...Luke Walton/Maurice Evans
PF Lamar Odom...Brian Cook/Ronny Turiaf
C Kwame Brown...Chris Mihm/Andrew Bynum

There's one last roster spot open for the Lakers 2005-2006 season...Currently, it looks as if Devin Green, Von Wafer, and JR Pinnock are the main ones battling for it...
