Did Ice Cube & Dj Quik have Beef ?

I'm watching the Cali Iz Active & almost at the end I see Ice Cube & Dj Quik shake hands, but when i pause it i look @ Daz face he looking like what the fuck!! Even Snoop clapping as they do it.


So ne body know if they had beef & why?

If I am wrong on this somebody correct me, but I think the beef started around the time the War/Peace Disc for Cube when he went through that whole Don Mega stage. Mausberg said that he was the original Don Mega and he did not like the fact that Cube was using his slang (Like Jayo with the whole Crip Hop thing with Snoop) Mausberg was dissing Cube through out his album and Quik's compilations. I know after Mausberg died Quik had a diss song out that everyone thought was aimed at Snoop but it was about Cube. I don't know the name of the song, but that is what I remember about the beef. Anybody that has more feedback feel free to add on. But it is good to see they squashed the beef.

That sounds about right....I don't know about the diss song Quik had because I've never heard it.....

I heard that the song with erick sermon off balance and option was a diss to dre i think back in tha days who knows i never knew about this beat

^ Yeah that song was definitely about Dre but Quik did another song and he came out in a interview and said it was about Ice Cube. It was shortly after Mausberg died.

^Yep, that was the name of the song, Status. Never heard the song, but I don't think Cube even responded to the disses so I think it was all a big misunderstanding.

I think the song was called static.  I heard it when Quik had the way to fonky radio show on power 106 (LA).  His show was only on for a few months, I think in early 2001.  He said that that song would only be played once and you probably would not hear it again.  He called out snoop and dre, and if memory serves me right he rapped about someone (them) stealing from Mausberg (RIP). What i do not know, but that is what i can recall.  By the way Rest in Peace Mausberg.   They still cant fade you.  No matter how hard they try and be or act real recognize real.
