Remember the XXL article from spring 1999?  I still find it funny that XXL called Eminem a culture stealer because he isn't down with the Foo Fighters or Led Zepplin or something.  

If Eminem is a black culture stealer.  Then what the fuck is white culture?  Julia Roberts movies or something.  Fuck that, Eminem has respect for the culture, and recognizes that it is black culture.  (I never understood that because Beastie Boys were also founders of hip-hop, and one of the Fat Boys I believe was white, etc.)  I don't blame Em for never wanting speak to XXL. They fucked up.

Not really. They weren't there in '76 when the first kids were MCing and breaking in the park in BX. They were one of the pioneers in making it mainstream though.

Jimi Hendrix couldn't have been a culture stealer because Rock N Roll was originally "Black music". I can't say anything about Country music because I haven't read or heard anything about it's origins.
