Need help urgently selecting song for funeral
« on: January 13, 2002, 12:20:32 AM »
Do you know of any funeral type songs sung or rapped without swear words by people in DPG, like Nate or Warren, even Snoop, Daz & Kurupt?

I really need to know because my best friend, who was probably the biggest Daz fan ever, just lost his year long fight with cancer & his parents want some of his favorite artists for music, not some puff daddy i'll be missing you crap.

the sooner the reply the better, Thanks I really appreciate your help. :'(

boyz II men's rendition of "it's so hard to say goodbye to yesturday"  is the greatest song for a funeral

but a DPG song i guess that would be best appropiate would probably be "i don't want to hurt no more" by Nate and butch cassidey

this is kinda limit becuase the DPG crew ain't made oo many songs for this type of occation

I Totally agree, at my dad's funeral, man, i wouldn't have been able to stand some really depressing stuff.  I'd do the message by dre, or never leave me alone by nate/snoop, something a little more upbeat, and not about people dying, you know... people already know he's gone, they don't need to be reminded of what they're gonna miss.  You ought to try and remind them someway of the good things in his life, and that he's in a better place now; at a funeral, people have no hope, they've lost someone they loved, and feel lonely, so it'd be better, in my opinion, to give them some hope with the music.  "I'll see you when I get there" by Coolio is one of the greatest 'death' songs i've ever heard.  That's how it oughta be done, in my opinion, but you guys do what you want, it's your friends funeral, homie.
