will rakim drop another album?

yo can anyone of y'all clear this up for me, cuz alot of my homies been sayin that his not gon be droppin an album on atermath and some sayin he gonna drop one near the end of 2002 just after detox where he gonna get alot of appearances. so can anyone clear this shit up for me, that like is dre actually plannin on droppin a rakim album out sometime? specailly now with kurupt gone onto death row, i want some clearance over whether rakim gonna drop on aftermath

All I know is that Rakim was signed to Aftermath months ago, and that Dre and DJ Premier (i think) are handling the production for the album.

He's still signed to Aftermath.

According to Mellowman, there was a slight chance Rakim may not record an album again, he said that months ago.  I don't know if the situation is worse or not now, but we haven't head shit really on "Oh My God."  When Mellow said there was a slight chance, everybody freaked and said the album won't drop.  Who know's what Rakim's dilema is, but hopefully we'll get to see this happen, before "Detox," which I think will NOT come out this year.

yeah i cant see detox comin out this year either but if ya hear all the artists who his gave beats to work on for the album, they all go he seriously wants this shit to come out in the last third of this year if he can. hopefully we'll have heard alot of other aftermath playas though before then!
