Crooked I-So Damn Hood
« on: January 10, 2002, 03:20:07 PM »
Im pretty disappointed with the joint.  It's just real poppy and theres nothing noteworthy about the track.  Also, why would Death Row want to collaborate with that bi-sexual fruit, Sisqo?

I liked it.  Crooked I had more nice lyrics, and good flow.  The best line was something about if you were homophobic, you'd hate yourself.  That was clever.

That is SO ironic considering Sisqo is on the track.

this actually sounds like an average track off restless

dope lyrics, but the rest is iffy

the lyrics arn't as good as crooked i is capable of but are good

the beat kinda sux to be honest with you ...it sounds too poppy and overcomputerized like a swizz beats meets max martin...

sisqo doen't help....with all the gay moaning and whack chorus

overall i'd give it a 3/5 for the dope lyrics, if this is the future of deathrow's music ...it wouldn't suprise me if they ended up going bankrupt, crooked i's career looks bright but he needs to get away from this sound BADLY!

I disagree, I think it's songs like this that will help Crooked I blow up.  He's not well known at all, so having a song with sisqo will definatley make him popular.  And you know Suge will promote this one like a muthafucka.

I wasn't expecting much because I think Tha Row's production team sucks. Big Hutch was hot long time ago but now he ain't that nice. Well on the subject I thought the joint was good overall. He had to make a commercial track to get exposure but I don't know why the fuck they chose that faggot Sisqo. At least it wasn't an "It's Over" or something. Crook's lyrics were above average and the beat was nice too.

I am not a big Crooked I fan, a big Sisqo fan, or even a small DR fan, but damn, this track is hot as hell and should do very well as a first single for Crooked I and the Row.  Not only is the beat contagious, but the hook has stayed in my head, and i was singing it as soon as i woke up this morning......which is crazy cuz i have never really felt anything off the row in a long time.
This song surprises me because off the crossover appeal; even if Crooked I isn't as good lyrically as he usually is, this song is the shit!  I still don't like Suge, but if they continue to actually do shit like this and not have some second rate artists diss people, they will go somewhere and do things in a big way.     peace
