Dr Dre Been Crazy at Least Since 1998
« on: July 31, 2006, 12:56:29 AM »
I know I'm hella late, but what was runnin through Dre's mind when he decided not to release Thy Kingdom Come? I been soakin this shit up for the last couple days and this sounds like a classic. This shit coulda made King T rich. Damn near every track was perfect, especially the DJ Quik track.

^^^^ One of the reasons is that Em was the top priority on the Math... but yep the album is fire (not classic though). The other reason was without a doubt this wasn't enough commercial for Iovine..

dont blame dre blame interscope and Jimmy Iovine, u could say the same about rakim too
Hittman is not a real person. He was a computer program generated by Dr. Dre and Mel Man back in the mid 90's. When Dre started treating Mel-Man like shit, Mel infiltrated the computer and put a virus in the hittman program

Same with Hittman. You can't help but question his decisions. All geniuses are a lil insane.

I never heard the full album, just a few cuts from it, but they all were great, no doubt. Made me wonder too why the hell it was never released.

But pretty much on every album that Dre's been the executive producer on from the beginning of the Math have had that one pop single on there that most often doesn't fit into the album at all. Many times I've wondered if Dre + whoever the artist is put that on there themselves or if Jimmy told them to have a chart single on there and they've then added it in. I know that was the case on "The Real Slim Shady", but dunno about the rest.

yeah they def did that with the real slim shady.  I dont know why em continues to release bullshit tunes as first singles.,his albums will sell regardless.

Back on topic ive never really given thy kingdom come a chance i think ive only listened to it once.

It's a good album, but it aint a great album. I bought it a few years ago when it was finally released independently, and few tracks were really good, but some of it was just average.
