Music sales are in a slump, its a bad time of the year for albums....always is but its worse than ususal...fourth quarter will see a rise building to christmas, but sales will still be down...

Exatly Rud, you on point as always. People need to forget about that flop word, because NOTHING is selling anymore. It is simply to easy to d/l albums, and most of us are to blame for that anyways. Then u wanna point and laugh and call everything a flop.

A flop used to mean a wack album. Music, even rap is still ok, it just isn't selling like it used to.

Idlewild is weak. The singles are weak. The movie backing it is weak. Their whole effort has been a failure. That should tell them something right there they fucked up bad.

Don't alienate the people that got you to the top & come with some goofy shit because we'll alienate your ass right back. I know this is the first Outkast album I refuse to buy, and I went out and copped all of their shit, even the greatest hits album.

Well, I think ur on point with that, and thats the only reason Id consider this Outkast CD a flop, because it wasn't to pleasent to listen too. Not because of the sales figures. I was expecting a rap album, and if not that, at least something fresh, and interseting. I feel cheated out of a CD-R now.

Treu. I guess people knew they wouldnt be getting a real Outkast album, with the duo on each track together. I like Big Bois solo tracks, Andres not so much, but I love when they are together. Thats why I didn't get it.

I'm also kinda surprised Kelis is selling so poorly...even I didn't like the album very much, "Bossy" was a hot-to-death single, so I figured she'd get more than 58K out of that in her first week.

this shouldnt surprise u. kelis has never sold well. her last album flopped too even though milkshake was huge.
