I just got this bad feeling Angle is gonna be found dead in his hotel room one day like Eddie. WWE would not get rid of a guy like Angle unless he had serious issues going on. They even kept wack mofos like Masters and Orton around when they were abusing, and Angle is 10 times the athlete.

Rumors were he was going into the MMA world, but he is too beat up to handle that, so they didn't really want him.

Of course TNA would sign him. Even if he's in bad shape, they can use him for publicity and to draw a buzz. If he drops dead they're not responsible.

My brother got totally excited by this news, It's nice to see him wrestle although it'll be less than that he did at WWE.

The MMA were a rumour that Angle and his agent started to throw people from the TNA deal that was concluded over a week ago when all the MMA stuff was being discussed, as surely Kurt knows that at the moment he couldn't do this, though the rumours are that he shall consider a MMA match next year

A major coup for TNA imo, yeah Angle is beat up at the moment but he still has one of the biggest and best names in the industry at the moment,  major draw for TNA and with Goldberg considering joining TNA this could be a good and interesting time for the wrestling industry and give Vince the competition that he needs to improve WWE

I can't believe that Vince never put in his usual 3-6 month no compete clause to stop this sort of thing happening

Looking forward to seeing Kurt Angle face Samoa Joe - that match has the potential to be a match of the year contendor

he had a few injuries and WWE suspended him at first because he was taking a lot of pain killers; that sort of worked.
then he seemed to have gotten a bit better until he got some more injuries so WWE weren't using him on TV and stuff.
eventually his release came when he felt WWE was holding him back, while WWE wanted him to take care of his life (pain killers; wife issues) but he refused, which WWE more upset.

so he has signed with TNA.

apparently, TNA has promised him he will have 90% less stress then he did in WWE and he will only wrestle 24 matches a year in TNA, as opposed to 150 in WWE so they fel it won't jeopardize his health or anything.

they want Angle to wreste 1 TV match and 1 PPV a month; and they don't have any house shows, or very very little.

as for TNA, they will also be moving to a new timeslot starting November 16th i think wich may help to boost their ratings up.

I say Angle needs to stop now. The WWE released him as a last resort, to keep him from working. They did the time off, the suspension and everything, this was a last resort, and Angle made it worst by signing with TNA. If I was TNA, I'd have him as a manager, a GM, a special ref, anything except a wrestler for at least 2 months. Hell build him up, until his debt when he beats Double J for the world time, like WCW did when Hogan debted by beating Ric Flair for the title. But don't let him wrestle yet. I want to see Kurt in a ring for a long time, mainly a 4 sided ring, and I would love to see Kurt tour Japan, and fight great wrestlers around the world. I just hope he heals himself, because my favorite wrestler of all time, Eddie Guerrero, pushed himself too hard and Angle is heading that direction. For the long term, TNA needs to keep Angle away from wrestling.

That and because the wrestlers have no personality...just a bunch of guys in speedos. Im not one for a garbage man gimmick but you gotta have some sort of character going for you. Tna is just a bunch of the same guy.

some of the wrestlers do have some sort of personality.

Abyss is the monster like dude; kind of like Kane.
Konnan has that whole LAX gang where they are against everybody who isn't Latin.
They had Team Canada going on for a while before it was disbanded.

There's probably a few mroe that i don't know of.

I think one problem they have is that they are or were trying to build around Jeff Jarrett. In my opinion, they guy isn't one of those elite stars.
Instead of realizing this problem, they signed some old stars and try and put them in the spotlight instead of giving the spotlight to the younger stars (e.g. Scott Steiner and Kevin Nash).

Also, TNA ahs only been around for only 4 years, and thev'ye only had the TV deal for about year (give or take a bit of time).

If you look at the wrestling quailty itself, TNA takes a huge crap full of corn, peas and carrots on WWE's wrestling. But the entertainment factor is what keeps us in tuned to WWE.

Right now, TNA is a LOT better than the ECW brands in every form.
Smackdown and Raw though have a whole lot better entertainment; maybe not even Smackdown actually as a lot of ppl seem to hate that.

And the fact that TNA does 2 or 3 weeks of taping at a time doesn't help either because ppl will read the spoilers and not watch the show, or just watch that one segment that may interest them.

Tna just needs to develop characters more, maybe with a 2 hour slot they will be able to give these guys more personality. Another problme is most there guys are cruseweights. I dont wanna see huge guys that cant move but i also dont wanna see all cruserweights with no personality that look like the guy living next door.
Also if they are going 2 hours they should think about doing something about that Impact zone, it looks too Wcw wroldwide too studio like.

Well it is a studio after all. I'm sure they have plans of taking the TV on the road but that won't be for a while I don't think. First they ned to build a stronger audience. I predict (if they succeed that is) that when ratings rise they get a 2 hour Impact, build the product a bit, end up on monday night head to head with Raw but with another show, while Impact stays in the same studio and the other show goes town to town like Raw does. 2 hows, 3 or 4 hours a week of TNA wrestling. This is in the next 3 to 5 years mind you. I don't expect to see any of this soon uness Angle gets them a 3.0 rating (which won't happen), and of course they may not succeed at all and fail by 5 years time.

I can't believe that Vince never put in his usual 3-6 month no compete clause to stop this sort of thing happening
The only reasonable explanation behind that is that Angle is in such bad state, that the no complete clause was waived since he can't compete anyways.......but even that doesn't make sense.

Then you have conspiracy theorists that think this is some elaborate plot to destroy TNA with an inside man, which is too out there for me to believe.

If TNA keeps this up, and picks off major names that the WWE releases, they could be on to something. unfortunately, I think Jarrett's ego will get in the way and fuck everything up. Plus, they just recycle gimmicks (Abyss) and lack real direction in the company. Angle and Christian are good starts......possibly Jericho will be there in the future, but they will need to develop their own stars too. They got a gem in AJ Styles and for some reason he's tag champ, and not world champ.

I do with TNA the best o fluck, and I'll actually be tuning in this Thursday which will be a first.
