Sanford it's not really a SF bias saying Willie Mays is the greatest ever, it's the absolute truth.  He is the greatest all around player ever, he did everything perfect.  He was a career .300  hitter with over 3,000 hits.  He hit 660 Home Runs in his career while he missed 2 years in his prime to fight for the country and he played his home games in the enormous polo grounds very hard to hit homers.  He was by far the best defensive outfielder ever and had the best throwing arm ever. He was the pefect ballplayer, the greatest baseball player of all time.

Most athletic person has got to be a basketball player. Jordan or maybe Wade in the future. Best Athlete, that's a tough one, though. Maybe Roger Federer if he continues his hustle for the next 5 years.
