Full Intrumental Hip Hop Albums. Would you buy one?
« on: November 06, 2006, 11:51:33 AM »
If say a well known producer like Dr. Dre or Dj Quik or Timberland released a intrumental album will all new beats would you buy it?  I'm not talking about stuff like Quik's Trauma Intrumentals or Dre's 2001 Intrumental album.  I'm talking about all new stuff that no one has rapped or sung over before.  No rappers or singers, just beats.

More people pay attention to beats rather than rapping nowadays.

I definitely would. Hell, I own a number of intrumental hip hop albums by the likes of Rjd2, Blockhead, and a copy of The Foreign Exchange 'Connected' instrumentals. There are those times when I really don't want to hear someone rapping and want to appreciate the production for what it is.

Maybe. Although without rapping, to me, just a beat is boring after a few moments.

I would. An instrumental doesn't need rapping if it's done like a Quik's groove.

I don't. Lyrics are important to me.
