i agree with 704D this board shows all aspects of hip hop.  i like some east shit like BIGGie, JayZ, Red&Meth,Wu, Busta.  im not really fellin nas but thats cuz i havent heard alot of his shit although illmatic was good.  im feelin the dirty south more than the east tho.  i like goodie, outkast, 36 mafia, devin, and scarface.  i hate it when people diss master p, no limit and p. diddy when they know damn well they used to bump this shit when it was bigger. IMO

Peace ;D

Puffy and P can suck on Deeez nutz for all i care. they ruined the game.

  Peace (somehow that's a contradiction)

Yeah I Know What You Mean, It's Like Anyone Who Sets The Career Of One Of The Greatest Artists That Has Ever Lived Of Must Be Bad For The Game.  ::)

Anyway The Way I See It Is Like This:

Someone Posts Up A Topic And The Title Is Lets Say "Puffys New Album", But You Don't Like Puffy Then Whats The Point In Going Into That Thread And Dissing The People There. Just Stay Out Of There And Let Them People Discuss The Artist. Personnaly I Ain't Really A Big Fan Of Ludacris But I Dont Go Into Threads People Make About Him And Say How Wack He Is.

I feel ya Logic......
Cuz yo, Puff brought Biggie into the game, along with Mase (hate if you want, his first album was DOPE).
And master p, he was on top for awhile, who cares, he is doing his thing and brought joy to a lot of people so good for him.  Plus, he saved Snoop from Death Row and Suge, so i give props to P.

I Ain't No Big Dirty South Head, But I Think I Know A Fair Bit, Or Atleast Anough To Get Me Along. And The Way I See It Is That Master P With No Limit Kinda Blew The South Into The Mainstream Rap.

I know this is a West Coast Forum, and all but I see what you guys are saying about East Coast news on here, there should be a different section for East Coast,

I dont mind reading bout the East cos I'm still learning bout the hip hop game and its good to know your stuff, I like some East Coast artists but I just feel more for the West Coast shit old and new.

But the only guys I dont really feel are DMX, Ludacris, Nelly and P Diddy, some people may like them but me NOOOO WAY

it's like WCV said

if we only stuck to one aspect of hip hop i'd make us ignorant just like all those other geek back packer sites who think that hip hop should only sound like one thing.....it just makes us even better i think, and diminishes the west coast stereotype that all west coast peeps are just closed minded and listen to crap

Well this is a 'west coast connection' board, and the WEST is the BEST IMO, but it would be boring talkin bout it only and this is a HIP HOP board, ppl disscuss hip hop, west/east/south or wht ever, if sum one has a question bout eeast coasr artists, he posts it n gets replyes, this boarrd as almost 1000 members and we should not be only confined to WEST ...

And we get more knowledge this way anyway ...

Iz hip hop, which is not only west, but east and others as well, heck there r sum dope rappers from other sides too

thank you. this is one of the very view places where both east and west are accepted it should stay that way. Too many hip hop fans are ignorant to the opposite coast.

personally i prefer stuff that would probably be considered "underground"... artists like The Roots, Ras Kass, Chino XL, Heiroglyphics, Black Star, etc.... but I don't really think I like one coast more than the other... but i do prefer different styles... i'd be more inclined to listen to a release from a well-rounded artist from anywhere than a psuedo-gangsta-thug-playa-balla release from anyone....

i come to this board to check out what people are thinking in terms of west coast artists, and sometimes artists from elsewhere... this board is fairly even minded... unlike a horribly bad tupac/outlaws board i was at the other day ... it was hilarious and sad at the same time.. anyways this board is cool the way it is.
