The Game Responds To Arrest
« on: November 21, 2006, 10:41:42 AM »
The Game responded to his recent arrest in New York over the weekend. Game blames the hip hop police for targeting him because he's a rapper.

"This is a ploy by the hip hop police to humiliate me because they harass and follow me every single time I come to New York," said Game via a statement released by his publicity firm, 5WPR.

The Game, born Jayceon Taylor, was arrested last Thursday night in Manhattan for allegedly impersonating an undercover police officer. In his statement, he denies the charge. "I was in town this week to work and promote my new album, Doctor's Advocate. I never impersonated anyone, especially and absolutely never a police officer," he stated.

According to WNBC.com, he flagged down a Lincoln Town Car at the intersection of W. 56th Street and & 7th Avenue around 10:30 p.m. Police pulled the cab over several blocks later at the corner of W. 43rd and 6th Avenue for erratic driving. Cabbie Muhammed Butt told officers that Game told him he was an undercover police officer and to speed through several red lights. Game was arrested and charged with impersonating a cop.
