What I think would make Detox a classic album?
« on: November 29, 2006, 03:27:44 PM »
I think it should sound similar to the 2001 album but a more evolved version, just like 2001 was a more evolved version of the chronic

Westcoast artists: just the legends and a few newer ones (crooked I etc)
Eastcoast: Nas, Method man, Busta (maybe)

Producers/co-producers: Focus, Mel-man (if him and Dre could sort their problems out), Dj Quik
Keyboards: Camara Kambon, Scott Storch, JR (on a few tracks)
Bass: Mike Elizondo, Sean Cruise
Songs: ones with concepts, one with his son or daughter (maybe im not sure about his daughter though), a finale song with Snoop (the last episode lol)
Singers/vocalists: Nate and Dion, Toni Braxton (maybe im not sure)
Guest/suprise appearances: Rakim, Hittman, RBX, Dj Quik, Mc Ren,The D.O.C (i wish) and an unrealesed Eazy E verse

a few funny/interesting skits (about 2 or 3), no Really early abum leaking, no fillers, 3 singles, lots of promotion, no g-unit or Game (he just wouldnt fit the mood), no Dawaun or mark batson (too monotonous), lots of BASS,

what do y'all think ?

The only chance Detox has a chance of being a classic is if it ever gets released

Dre brings out the best in everyone. Which is why I don't care who's on Detox, he's already proven that he won't release any wack shiet.

why dont u guys just wirte this on your christmas list? cus thats how much chance your gonna get these dream tracklists.
Hittman is not a real person. He was a computer program generated by Dr. Dre and Mel Man back in the mid 90's. When Dre started treating Mel-Man like shit, Mel infiltrated the computer and put a virus in the hittman program

dre better stop beleiving his own hype before he releases detox, everyone know dre the best producer, but now is the time he got to deliver, his shit has been average at best recently.......even legends need to step up now and again......remember the days off when cats would drop wack albums like...beg for mercy, but the dre tracks still were bangin, on another level to everything else.......eg......poppin them thangs and g'd up.......he needs to get his shit to stand out again......i can only hope his saving all his fire for his own album........and his shit aint gon be boring like his latest beats

Man, I really hope we see Knoc-turn'al on the detox. dude can sing his ass off. and if he's sober, don't act like he can't write a crazy verse. he absolutely KILLED "Bang Bang" his verse on der was 1 of da best verses on the entire album. He sings PERFECTLY on hooks, especially to dre's style of producing.

i forgot about Knoc. i like that kind of unique off-beat flow that him and Hittman have, it works for them.
