Teecee's top 6 this week....post yours....
« on: November 16, 2001, 07:26:17 AM »
Well, last week i posted my top 6 and i am gonna make it a regular thing every Friday.  My point is to tell you all about dope new songs and for me to learn of some new shit too.

1. Nothings Wrong- (Won-G) Damn ya'll,  I was sleeping on this track until i finally saw the video and this song is actually dope as fuck.  My fav. track of the week!

2.  I Got Love Rmx (Nate, etc) Damn, i have to admit i was not feeling this song or the OG as a single, i thought Nate had fukked himself over for sure.  But after TNT used this song on every one of their televised basketball games lately, it has been growing on me like crazy.  Good for Nate, cuz he is gonna blow with this here.

3. Fuel Injection (Swollen Members) Well, Swollen Members are from Canada, but don't hate just yet....they are unofficial members of the Dilated family, and their cd features Alchemist, Dilated and others.  This album is incredible, i swear to God, and this song is my fav. from the album.

4.  Got Yourslef a Gun (Nas) Damn, this track is a major banger, if ya haven't heard it then peep it cuz you won't be disappointed.

5.   Quiet as Kept (King tee) WEll, King Tee comes back NICE on this track and all i can say is i can't wait for the album.

6. Laugh Now (B Real, Everlast) Now this is a dope song, laced with a tight piano loop and deep lyrics from both.

That's my list, drop yours.....

Good Choices....

1. Nas - One Mic
This Nas at his best, the beat is hot, you can't turn this one down... Bang It!

2. Kam ft Ice Cube - Watts Riot
Whoa! Another old school joint from the early 90's and I just can't stop pressing play on this... Kam and Cube is like Snoop and Dre... great song

3. Dead Prez - They Schools
I dont know what to say about this song, but it has to be one of the dopest songs I've heard all year.... great thought here

4. Tha Twinz - Jump To Tha This
Old School Joint here, but this is G-funk at it's finest... they do a great job here

5. Busta Rhymes - Break Ya Neck
This song with it's wicked Dre beats, will squeek in as a top notch song for the list. Busta comes correct and the video is straight fire.

6. Petey Pablo - Raise Up (USA Flag Remix)
When this song first came out it was just another club banger for the clubs, but now with its added patriotism it's become one of my favorites

Here is Incognito's top 6:

1.  "When Worst Comes To Worst" - Dilated Peoples - Tight B-Boy rhymes over this orchestral Alchemist beat with some great old school scratches.  Love this song.

2.  "Flashlight" - Chico & Coolwadda - This beat is on some 2001 shit.  Glove laces this banger.  The hook is great, and so are the rhymes.

3.  "A Women's Worth" - Alicia Keys - After peeping the video everyday, I like this song even more.  Great lyrics and beat.

4.  "Smashing" - 5 Footaz - HEAT.  Incredible beat, and Warren serves up a str8 up ill hook.

5  "My Life" - Kool G Rap - Great East Coast song using West Coast elements.

6  "How High part II" - Great beat, raps and hook.

1. Pete Wingfield "18 With A Bullet" - A dope ass oldie track. It's some old school gangsta shit haha talkin' about pullin' triggers and shit.

2. Cypress Hill "Red, Meth, Bee" - CLASSIC TRACK! DOWNLOAD IT NOW!

3. Malo "Sauvecito" - Much respect to Criminal_909 for giving me the name of the original group. I only had the newer version with a bitch singing. Some old school shit again.

4. Big Punisher "Dream Shatterer" - This song is too damn dope and Pun just tears it up.

5. Mr. Cheeks "'Til We Meet Again" - Dope ass track. Y'all should listen.

6. Kid Frost "No Sunshine" - Fuck DMX. Frost did the first rendition of the Bill Withers track and he did it 10 million times better.

Bonus Track:
GQ "I Do Love You" - Another old school slow jam. One of my favorite tracks ever. If y'all don't know what it is then if you watched Baby Boy it's the song Tyrese plays at the end of the movie.

Yall know the drill..

1) Mack 10 w/ Big Tymers- "That Bitch Is Bad"-Classic CA$H MONEY shit here.  Mannie lays down the beat and a tight chorus "All I do/Is Think About Fucking You/Got me gone/Pussy won't Let me go home/".  Dope shit..

2) Nate Dogg -"Be Thankful"-well we're getting close to Christmas time and Nate Dogg stole the show on the Death Row Christmas compilation with this ballad.

3) C-Murder - "Get Bucked, Get Crunked"-Tight new No Limit ish, right here.  C-Murder brings heat along with P, Silkk, and T-Bo.

4) Ludacris w/ DTP - "Growing Pains"-This joint puts the new Dilated Peoples joint to shame as they both use the same beat.  This is a tight song thats about growing up and memories--kinda an updated "Back in the Day".

5)The Click (E-40, B-Legit, Suga T)-Money Love Us-Classic Bay area sound on this joint off their new LP.

6)Method Man and Redman -How High Part 2-Yall have heard the joint and seen the video.  Classic collaboration here.
