Tha Blue Carpet Treatment gets better every time I listen....
« on: December 08, 2006, 09:00:26 AM »
at first, I wasnt feeling a handful of the tracks but the album has grown on me lately....I wasnt feeling "Which One of You" and "Like This" at first, but I cant stop listening to them now....Even the track "Beat Up on Yo Pads" has a crazy flow and gets me pumped up, its not that bad....I think "Candy" has started to grow on most people too and is about to be a huge track.  Im not going to start calling shit classic but this album is definatly going to be one of my personal favs.

I've been thinking exactly the same thing. Some of the tracks I thought were sub-par are now my favourites.

The keyboards on 'Which One Of You' are great; the track with Jamie Foxx is pretty fucking nice; Soopafly's hook on 'Like That' is so smooth.

In fact, like I said elsewhere, the Dre tracks are the worst on the album in my opinion. Never thought I'd see that day :-\

I dont think I would go that far, but theres definatly lots of dope tracks besides the Dr. Dre produced ones.  "Imagine" and "Boss Life" are two of my fav tracks of the year.  "Round Here" is dope to me too.  So many dope tracks on this album tho, Im pretty much feelin every track now.

That is why I always say people comment too quick on albums in here for me. Give it some time to marinate and then make a decision. I think the Dre tracks are good. Not classic but dope. Kind of like the beats he dropped on No Limit Top Dogg. Bitch Please was nice but it was not amazing or anything. Just Dippin was nice, Buck Em was cool. Last Meal beats from Dre were a upgrade from that though. The grower for me on BCT is Crazy.

Thats funny its the other way around for me. I am bumping Snoops and Games album for the past few weeks and got tired of them real quick.

At first I loved the whole Snoop cd, except for 2,3 tracks. But now that I've bumped it for a week everyday on my way to school Ive got tired of most of the tracks. The problem with Snoops album is that he has like 7,8 amazing tracks and the rest pretty average.

Same thing with Games album. Ive bumped it for a week too. First day it was great, second day I already started skipping tracks. Theres only 3,4 tracks that stayed fresh to me.

It's grown on me a lot too, but I gotta say i grabbed me pretty good right off the bat too. Those few cuts that didn't really do it to me at first sound dope now. Funny, really. It's a dope ass record.

Vato and 10 Lil Crips are 2 of the better beats on the album...I think this album could have been classic if Snoop left a couple of songs off, make it like 15,16 cuts. I think its definitely West Coast album of the year and top 10 overall...

Yeah this, Murrays Revenge and Laugh Now Cry Later for me but I am still undecided as to which is the best.

It's the exact same for me, whereas i find Jeezy's and Nas's albums have fresh sound to them, giving them crazy replay value ....
