without James there wouldnt have been a Michael Jackson & the Jackson 5, & who knows if african american music wouldve been able to progress to Funk with Rick James, Roger Troutman, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic onto Rap, Hip hop & R'n b of yesteryear & today
