The Classic Albums so far since 2000

its hard for me to put college dropout as a classic...it was a great album and all..but the abundance of skits as well as having songs like the workout plan and a few others i don't remember keep it from being a classic for me

i definitely wouldn't put get rich or die trying in there

nor would i put BE in that category...it was a good album but i don't play it regularly enough to make it a personal classic...

the black album MAYBE...thats a possibility

Both Marshall Mathers and Slim Shady LP are absolute classics as far as I am concerned

hm, I always thought I liked Em so much due to bias(he was the first rapper I got really interested in) but I suppose those first two records really were classics. should re-cop them.

There have been no classic albums since 1999....With the exception of the chopped and screwed sound (which really ain't new, but gained a little attention), nothing has really changed the sound of music & chopped and scewed is basically slowing down a record and repeating a couple of verses....I'm not a 50 fan, but GRODT is about as close as it gets  ...A couple of really good albums have dropped here and there, but nothing has dropped that has been a must have to own.

I think supreme clientele is pretty hot, But i think it's classic in a east coast way the way that Kurupt's Tha Streetz Iz A Mutha is a classic in a west coast kind of way.

Chopped and screwed is a term that refers to a certain technique of remixing hip-hop music by slowing the tempo and applying various DJ techniques such as skipping beats, record scratching, stop-time, and sending portions of the music through stand-alone effects to make a "chopped-up" version of the original song. "Chopped and screwed" music first appeared on late night/early morning hip hop programming on radio stations in Houston, Texas sometime before the year 2000
