Snoop vs DMX?

Yeah, this is a West Coast forum so I guess I already know who's gonna win that contest. But I just want y'all to give me GOOD reasons why you'd choose one over the other. As for me, I guess in my all time list, I'd put Snoop before X (coz I have to take into account Chronic and Doggystyle) but right now, I'm feelin' X like crazy. My reasons? X's lyrics (every single one of 'em, rhymin or not) are HEARTFELT and emotion is a strong ass feeling like we all know. Snoop can really be lazy sometimes unless Dre's around to bring the best outta him which doesn't happen as much as I would like...
So what about y'all? Snoop Dogg or DMX (please lets' try to forget about East Coast or West Coast for one second)???

hmm my reason,, snoop he way better overall... i didn't say that dmx is wack but snoop is just better lyricaly n on the flow ,,, unbeatable

Snoop is a legend....... DMX is just average.....  I said it before and I'll say it again, before Def Jam got ahold of him, he'd been rappin since 91' nobody liked his shit.  Then Def Jam hyped him up and made everyone believe he was the second coming of 2pac or something.  2pac was actually intelligent, DMX is ignorant.

Just ur point of view; it's all good... DMX is on Def Jam, yeah, but what if Snoop had never Dre??? Then what??? I don't know...

They Are 2 different Rapper and doesnt Rap about the same thing...Snoop Would be my first choice just like DMX

lyrics (rhyming ability)- snoop is better
lyrics (substance)- dmx is better
live  -both are really dope but dmx is better
flow-even though snoop's is still off it's more consistant tan dmx's choppy flow--so snoop is better
voice-snoop has a better voice
consistancy-tie, if snoop didn't do all these half assed guest appearances he woulda won but it brought him way down


overall 4-3

snoop is barely better than dmx RIGHT now, if this was back in snoop's prime it'd be no question but it's not


it's kinda weird to say all that cuz i hate dmx but love snoop and they're almost equal now but i dunno i just have too many good memories of snoop back in his prime plus he seems like cool person to hang with

Jake broke it down pretty well, though I think "flow" is tied, cuz even though Snoop's flow is smooth as hell, X has alot of energy in his flow. Lyrically they're about equal, neither one of them are incredible in that department. Overall though, I give the edge to Snoop I guess cuz Doggystyle is better than ANY of DMX's albums.
