Future of aftermath - thread #1 - truth hurts

despite people still trying to convince you that I’m fake i will keep posting until ive said everything i want to say. the reason i chose Truth Hurts first is because i know her album will be the next aftermath release. Truth’s debut album was due out in October. However, due to the major change in The wash release date truth’s album had to be bumped back a bit so dre could concentrate on finishing as much of the wash as possible before lions gate and interscope’s deadline. as soon as the marketing push and promotion of the wash is done and dre is done doing his end of the promotion,  Truth’s album comes front and center as priority number one. Dre has been working on Truth’s album for close to a year. at this point Truth Hurt’s debut album will either be self titled or called “Ain’t that the truth”. dre, mel-man and truth have recorded close to 50 tracks for the album. besides the tracks dre has done for the album, various other producers have submitted close to 30 other songs. when dre or melman ain’t behind the boards you could hear cuts from r kelly, organized noise, hi-tek, tim and bob, and the great dj quik. again the final tracks have not been chosen, buts its a good bet you’ll hear tracks from most of the names i mentioned. the process of choosing the tracks has just begun. the album will most likely not come out this year. dre will be taking time out the next few months for the holidays and to spend time with his family (including his new child). i’m sure he’ll go off on a few of his exotic little trips and hang out at his beach house (or his other main house, the “scarface” mansion hidden away in a secret location). anyone mad at dre for taking time off needs to ease back a bit. besideds he needs to rest up for next year, because besides truth in 2002 dre will be working  on or finish xzibit, snoop, knocturnal, the El Diablo soundtrack, some other outside collabs, hopefully rakim, hittman and his other signed aftermath artists (which dre would not want me to disclose yet), and working on his movie “raincoats”. and oh yeah DETOX. Back to Truth Hurts. The goal is a spring 2002 release for her debut. until then check her out in movies The Wash, Ali and the soundtrack to The Wash. Sherie (Truth) is from St. Louis, Mo. She has a back ground in choir, gospel and opera. i have heard a lot of voices but i can honestlty say I’ve never heard anything like hers. it is simply amazing. her versatilty is what sets her apart. in the same chord and breath she can go from sing songy rap to smooth soul to opera. its mind blowing. some of you probably don’t like dre working on a R&B album but thats tough. one of dre’s least talked about accomplishments was changing the face of r and b on Michel’le album. he was the first to combine r and b with rap rhythms and sounds. it paved the way for mary j blige and others. Truth Hurt’s album will be innovative and groundbreaking music. her voice combined with dre beats are a perfect match. please support her if you can. next up ..........................hittman
