We can Freak It
« on: January 13, 2007, 12:46:13 PM »
I still don't get how this song didn't blow the fuk up.  I know it blew up on the westcoast but that was about it.  This song is straight heat.  Perfect beat by Battlecat and perfect lyrics by Kurupt and Baby S.  Andre Wilson was dope as hell on the hook also.  I think east coast DJ's just hate on westcoast artists.  I do not understand how any DJ could hear this song and not put it on his playlist.  When this song came out in 98 me and my homeboy were the only two cats in Miami playing it.  I was 16 when it came out and had just gotten my first car.  I used to bump this shit and just cruise down South Beach.  I actually remember blowing out a speaker to this shit.  How the fuk didnt it blow up worldwide?

That's Westcoast! Bad Promotion. After Death Row no one except of Snoop and Dre can really blow up.
I love this track. Battlecat is one of the best producers of west coast music

Quote from: Soopafly DPGC about his hands
I don't live for the man, but I do study him so I can hope my pimp hands one day become as strong as his. When i first started listening to him, my hands were only strong enough to crush a beetle.  Now that i've studied him for 15 years, my hands are strong enough to crush a dog.

Great song. Takes me back to nights during my first year at university. Perfect soundtrack to being young and free lol.
